I heard the "shooter crowd" had the common characteristics of being unable to spell or articulate properly.

I hate it. It’s far too immersed in the game. I would prefer to have something that breaks my narrative flow and character involvement into tiny pieces after every mission.
I propose a screen that just says “YOU ARE PLAYING A GAME. YOU ARE NOT COMMANDER SHEPHERD. NONE OF THESE THINGS HAPPENED.” Then a picture of Saren and Shepherd playing table tennis on top of Sovereign while a generic player looks on and cries into his hands.

I don't like it, but I don't like the whole areas-feeling-like-levels thing, either.

I actually like it. I feel rather than break immersion its interesting to read the cerebus summary of the mission.

I second that!
I love to read about the mission from TIM(s) perspective (it helps me to understand TIM more as a character), and summary info is helpful sometimes (after a long mission).

I actually don't mind it as much. Doing things that way allowed Bioware to construct things a little more reasonably, especially in terms of crew conversations. You weren't blowing through whole dialogue trees because you hadn't talked to people in a while and instead you had to be much more judicious in speaking with them. That made sense for ME2's story arc, and I also liked the way the mission over screens gave you some quick insights into the Illusive Man's thinking on various people, groups, and political situations.

Maybe you all should read the mission complete screens? It shows some notes from TIM on the mission and gives slight insight on him as a character.

I like the fact we get a mission summary. It gives a bit of insight into The Illusive Man as well which is nice. I think I would've preferred to have The Illusive Man send the summary to our private terminals though. It's already a game mechanic so why not use it?

Yea it's pretty lame. Makes it feel like it's losing it's RPG touch, although I feel ME2 is an RPG game, it just kind of feels like its take the feeling of exploring back out in a way

I think it would be fine if it zoomed you out of that and you were looking at your laptop in your room on the normandy

There is no freedom in the game, it's as linear as it gets.

That seems like a very good idea to me. But I don't really mind it to be honest, I like seeing the Illusive Man's opinion on missions.

I don't care for the mission summary screen -- like many others, I feel it pulls me out of the story -- but it didn't ruin the game for me or anything.

Love this idea, it would strike a better balance.

I can't imagine complaining about something so trivial as the the Mission Complete Screen. What difference does it make?

Just like the "death veins" it's a sign of poor quality control (or catering to the TPS halo/gow crowd)... take your pick.

I was a little weirded out by the mission complete screen the first time it popped up, but it grew on me. Summarizing the resources and upgrades I found was sometimes useful. That cool little variation on the Illusive Man's theme that plays on it helped, too.

Because it is bad?

I can't imagine complaining about a break pedal, it is such a small part of the car. Oh, and yes, it is the internet, so you must love my hyperbole. Love it.

I had reach.

Not exactly part of the shooter crowd myself, but I don't mind it. I like the instant recap of everything that I found along the way, I really like the Cerberus perspective of my mission as well.

That said, it could also just as easily be an email that I receive upon my return to the Normandy.
