Hmm, id say its 50/50 on how many like/dislike it. quite interestig really.
I dont mind the fact it gives you info on what youve earned and a rundown on what happened, its just everything else it makes happen.
The most annoying part about it after playing more is the way it ports you back to the Normandy...not allowing you to pick anything left like wall safes etc and then you find out the Normandy is back in orbit and you have to dock to get back to the planet etc when you never left in the first place.
Its just ....daft.
Mission complete screen....anyone else hate it?

Same here. But note that this is only the forum minority. Most people don't even know that Mass Effect 2 has forums probably. Or don't care.Rivercurse wrote...
I've got no problems with it whatsoever. Seems i'm in a minority..
Me, i like it. It's a recap. And it's not a shooter staple like someone said, most shooters don't have such, at least if playing without scoring or such.

some people are saying they like it because it gives you a look at TIM's perspective or that it makes him feel more real. and of course your entitled to your opionion but....really? its just a meaningless backround the image of TIM isn't interactive at all. All it would tell us about him is that hes very good at mission summerazation and doling out xp.
i always got the impression it was nothing more than a generic backround could have been anything really. Grunt copping a squat would have been just as relevant
but thats just my take on it

I love it. Being reminded that I picked up some kind of upgrade twenty minutes ago is pretty helpful. Better than some of the missions in ME1 that were just kind of unfinished or anticlimactic because I had to walk back to the goddamn Normandy as though all I did on Feros was pick up groceries and go home. Uh, no, I slaughtered everybody there and then smote an ancient, Lovecraftian horror into an endless pit. Just teleport me back to the ship!

Fun fact: MW2 does not actually have mission complete screens. Neither do most of the shooters cited in this thread.

I must be the only one that likes it, especially the summaries as if Illusive man himself is writing the report. I also liked the fact that awarding XP for entire missions instead per kill, it makes the fights feel more like a firefight than a grind fest for experience.

I love it. The music and the illusive man sitting there just captures the mystery and epic of the game... in fact it is a thing i look forward to after completing a mission. Since i can't find the music it plays on net or in soundtrack i love getting that screen and not exiting until the awesome music has played. And it is good to get a summary of the mission.

I miss the reports back to the council just to tell them to stfu and the apreciation of Admiral Hacket. Now that was immersion...

Nope I liked it as well, it was very helpful and didn't break immersion like the ME 2 haters claim. And I liked when TIM would talk about the missions as well, now thats immersion.
And yes, because giving you a summary screen AFTER THE MISSION IS OVER is breaking immersion.

I like the function it serves as a summary but would like it more if it was more organically integrated into the game world. Put it as another widget on the personal terminal would be my thought, access it after returning to the Normandy.

I don't like it.
I accept the usefulness of there being a reminder about what upgrades you found on a level, but it'd be far less immersion-breaking to get an email with that information waiting for me when I was back onboard the Normandy.
It makes the level mechanic obvious, and that, for me, is to big a break with immersion. The end of mission screen along with the less integrated load screens make ME2 feel like I'm playing a Mass Effect video game, whereas in ME1 I felt like I was in the Mass Effect universe.*
*This is not to say ME1 was without flaws. There were plenty. And I'm happy to grumble about them.

I'm a shooter fan, and yes I'm a RPG fan as well most shooter don't have a mission complete loading scene at the end of the mission. I liked it, but I do hate that it transports you back to the Normandy.
