Better not kid ourselves of there being no new love interests, even if/when Liara and Kaidan/Ash come back. The noobs will be caterered to, and there will be something that starts from the scratch. Better it be a new squaddie, than hitting the reset button on Ash and Kaidan.

I'm fully of the opinion, that the game will begin much the same way as the previous two, a "tutorial" level or two, where you meet the new male and female lead squaddies. The female being the one in the cover with Shep and the "showcase" alien, if they want to keep up the ongoing "theme". There will also be a red shirt about, who you recruit and who gets killed before being replaced by either new lead. Think Jenkins and Wilson.

We will not start with great equipment, and we won't have a squad of 10-12 to choose from at the start. Hopefully the recruitment will not be a main focus in ME3, and the main story will be given the most attention.

I must say I can do without Ashley after the rude treatment she gave me after I saved her on Horizon. With my luck she will end up as a superior officer in ME3 and degrade me to a cook or something.



Does Kaidan have such a fit if you saved him instead of Ash?

Pretty much almost the same. You do realise she sends you a lovely email later on apologizing for the way she acted to you on horizon.

No, this effect is normal. Hormone levels tend to spin out of control when around Ashley.

I think most of the people complaining about Ash/Kaidan and the treatment they received on Horizon were in the friend zone with them.

Have you tried what we attempted on the Liara thread, creating a "ME2 Ash" character sheet?

What weapons skills, 2 basic powers, 1 "character" skill, and 1 unlockable power would she have?

Here's one attempt:

AR and Shotgun. Her "research" project would give her the Revenant LMG. When equipped with the shotgun, she melees to a limited extent Grunt style should the enemy get too close.

BP1: Concussive Shot
BP2: Incendiary Ammo
CS: Alliance Marine (increases health and weapon damage, option 1: Assault Marine - adds substantial melee bonus as well as more health, option 2: Marine Sharpshooter - adds substantial weapon damage, as well as slight shield strength upgrade)
ULP: Immunity (gives her a substantial amount of bonus health and health regen for a short time, or damage resistance if that's still in the game)

What do you think?
