This is...kind of random I guess?



But suppose you are writing a story about a major disaster that is led by 2 characters who are lovers but only really discover they love each other half way through the story.



Like 2 chapters later, girl finds out guy re enlisted in the Army and joined Spec Forces against her wishes. The place is falling apart and she walks out on him.



(This is not a Nicholas Sparks novel. Its a disaster story with some romance in it.)



I have to write the next Chapter, where do I go with it?



I dug myself in a hole with the last chapter.



I dont know if I want a Romeo and Juliet ending where they both die...or if I want them to live happily.....



Remember, its a disaster novel with romance mixed in.

Actually, to be more specific, girl never forbid guy from re enlisting, its just she didnt know why he was gone for 2 weeks. The disaster strikes the next day, and alas, story begins.



Girl was also in Army and they fought together.

I'm not a writer but it sounds like a rather tragic story. Still, I'm a sucker for hapy endings so if you think it's not out of the realm of possibility go for that ending. Just my two cents.
