I like Ashley, but she got replaced by Miranda in all but 1 of my 4 playthroughs.

Edit: BUT, I would very much like Ash to return to my squad in ME3. Sorry forgot to say this.

Her original armour was great so i dont see a reason to change it, the question should be, what will she be wearing when hanging out in Shepard's private quaters... if anything.

Because clearly, the positive posts I made in this thread are pure trolling.

As far as armor, I've never really liked the Phoenix armor myself, but I don't see Ash wearing a catsuit either. ...unfortunately.

I'm still curious how Ashley came free, while everyone else was taken away. I know I saw her being frozen too. Couldn't ask her that question either of course...

And she was definitely stasis-ized by the swarm.  The only thing I can figure is that she was in the last group to be loaded into pods and taken away (there were other colonists still standing around frozen) and then when the collecters left the venom wore off?

There are a number of conversations with Ashley in which you can persuade her to take a different view on Aliens.

At first yea, but she changes as the game progresses. I mean, she's perfectly friendly when you take her with you on your squad with say Tali, Garrus, Liara or Wrex. She talks to them in a nice manner. Like in the elevator convos.

Plus she actually tells you to send in the Alliance fleet to defend the Ascension at the end of the game, hell if someone disagrees she tells you this is bigger than humanity.

People just don't like Ashley cause she doesn't mindlessly follow everything you say. Because you're Shepard and Shepard is always right. I love characters like Ashley, Miranda, and Morrigan because they speak their minds. They have faults and they don't let their barriers down unless you really work at it.

This is what partially what drove me nuts about Tali. Oh your working for Cerebus? Nevermind what he's done to the quarians, you're Shepard. Oh you've now allied yourself with the geth? They did drive us from our homeland and kill my father, but you're Shepard so that's okay. People seem to hate any character that suddenly takes a stand against your PC and gives you a real ultimatum. Personally, I welcome that.

Plus the fact that Ashley is a strong independent woman, and I didn't feel like I had to save her every five seconds. Damsels in distress annoy me to death.

I will admit these are reasons to like Ashley. I don't like her attitude in general, but as squadmate under fire, and as a real person with real opinions, she makes sense.

And I don't think it's as black and white as you're portraying that bit with Tali.

Tali and Garrus realize that the real threat is the reapers and wont let petty things like who's funding Shepard's mission get in their way of helping him/her.

Huh?  Most of the people didn't get taken away.  There were dozens of frozen people still lying around when you drove the Collectors away.  It just happened to conveniently wear off right at the end of the fight.
