Yes but before that he was a regular solider, you cant just sign up for special forces you must serve in the military as a regular soldier first.

Yeah i know, but let's not forget Ash could be in ME2 and 3 seeing as her file in now classified, that usualy means special forces.

Yeah I agree with Funkcase, if Ashleys files are now classified, it is likely she is working in Special Forces or similar, she no doubt proved herself capable for that in helping Shephard defeat Sovereign.



Perhaps she is working for the Alliance Deniable Operations Unit, the one Jacob used to work with.

All I'm saying is it is highly unlikely Ashley is still serving as a normal foot soldier under the Alliance, she has almost definately moved on to something more specialised.

While I don't disagree it's likely her file is highly classified because she was a part of the reaper mess and they want the Idea of the reapers to go away. Also no one else would have a military record to hide TIM could find out about them easily.

Yes but Ash is reporting to the council now, and she was on a secret mission. She may not be N7 or Spectre, but she is some form of special forces, why else would she be sent on a secret mission alone to find out why the colonist's are going missing?

If that was true, her vocational code would be change from B4 to N4. The 'N' designates special forces. Thus Williams cannot be Special Forces yet.

BTW, does anyone else have a feeling that all the Council races already know about the Reapers but are keeping their knowledge secret (perhaps even from each other) in hopes that we'll deal with the problem before it ever comes near them (tying into the whole "sic your dog on it and run" mentality that Ash rightly observed remains constant across species)? This would be another explanation for their overly defensive attitudes of denial and willful ignorance.

I don´t think she has gotten much further up the ranks. Remember Horizon, she was stationed on a backwater colony without any support again, just like Eden Prime.

I think they believe they don´t have a chance anyways and want to avoid a total panic. Why not have a good time if you can´t change anything, right?

Yes she did get promoted to Operations Chief, although I do not think her vocational code changed from B4. If it did I'm not sure what would be the next letter used for a NCO.

i was flaming an annoying Liara fan actually...not that i usually have something against Liara fans

In my opinion Ashley is special Forces..at least after ME1...Anderson seems to hint at that...or at least it's how i take it

i see ash as a unoffical specter,her file is very well hidden,she reports too the alliance who are part of the council and they send her on important missions alone,i mean they obviously have alot of faith in her since they sent her to the terminus system alone too hunt down cerberus and look for info on the reapers,id say that seems very speacile.

Indeed, it sounds like she's taking orders directly from anderson.

Lets be honest, none of us care what Ash comes back as, whether that be Spectre, N7 operator or still as a Gunnery chief as long as she comes back with a proper role again
