I used to play femShep in ME1. Coincidently, i didn't think Ash was an overwhelming character. I didn't like the religious facet and just couldn't get warm, really.

Last night I played my first maleShep and it's quite a different story with Ash. There are a lot more interesting dialogs and the way she talks about Liara is really funny.
I think it's sad, that you get such a different view on characters (actually, not different but none. The same is with Tali in ME2 if you happen to be female: the conversation is looping far too early) depending on whether you're a maleShep or femShep, but that's a different story.

Anyway, she's quite cute, actually and she has many different facets and the way she evolves is interesting.

I didn't want to LI her but like, as close as possible apart from actually LI. But somehow Liara turned out to be my LI again, somehow. Can't even tell how that happened, I think i turned her down in the romantic conversations more then once... The game really makes it hard to NOT date that Asari hehehe.

But with my next maleShep playthrough i will certainly hit on Ash. Bad for Kaidan, i guess

Nice, glad you came to appreciate her like the rest of us But yeah, its a pity in alot of ways that the LI's only get interesting when you LI them.

She is going to be a squad mate and LI regardless. They cant make Virmire survivor have a minor role when you can save EVERYONE in ME2.
