In Mass Effect 1 I am close choice between Ashley and Kaidanem. After Virmir, when will be a love scene I will do some pics ;)

So playing ME1 again? I did that the other day. I choose Ashley. But I always do. Are you playing to import into ME2?
How is Poland?

ME2 was worth a midnight launch.

I had a block week exam the next day and aced it because I was literally AT Horizon and wanted to know what happened to Ash.

Christ, my paper might have been about Ash. Cant remember now.

Glad you did ok on the exam. I am sure you were tired. But Ash is worth it.

Indeed, I started a new. And yes, it will be a next character to the second part.

I still think that it was Bioware pushing new players towards new romances. Obviously, the people that played the first game and found a LI actually interesting, was very disappointed in the Ashley/Kaiden/Liara appearance, but a lot stuck by their ME1 LI. New players wouldn't feel the same obligation, so they wouldn't feel bad for cheating on a LI they only met once in ME2, only to think they were jerks. I bet now that everyone has chosen their LI's from ME1 or ME2, ME3 will be a culmination of that relationship. I mean...I hope that is what happens. If Ashley is under-utilized like she was in ME2 for ME3....I don't think my Shepard would be able to take it :(

I think you might be right. I think bioware were pushing it. I never bought the saving them for ME3 line. Ash should have had a bigger role in ME2. I said earlier if Ash gets a cameo again. I'm not saying I wont buy it. But I might stop playing after her part.

I cheated on Ash 3 times in ME2.

I repented and am now working on 2 other loyal files.

Also about to finish a level 37 ME1 Sentinel with Ash romance which I will transfer over.

Next ME1 file is a straight renegade where I agree with Ash and make her think her views about Aliens are right. I will also accept her offering of an alcoholic beverage.

I dont buy it iver, but they best be telling the truth. I will still buy ME3 if she is just a cameo again, but that will be the last Bioware game i would buy lying to your fans is just beyond low. But who knows we have two years to see they might pull it off.

This thread seems to be picking up steam. I am going to absolutely ape**** if ash isn't a squad mate in me3.

Also, who I consider my cannon LI depends on who's a squad mate in me3. Its between tali and ash. I'm sure one or the other will be in. If they're both in, then I would go with ash.

Don't tell the others.

I don't know if I would say that I wont buy another bioware game. I love what they do. But I doubt I will let myself get so invested in any character they make in a game. I started ME1 knowing it was a trilogy. Was told my choices mattered. I want that in my choices of in game friends and romance. If they cheapen it , down play it or don't deliver. I wont let myself care as much. I do care about these. I would feel jaded, don't know if I would let it happen again.

If she is not in ME 3 , I plan on my shep going renegade on the galaxy. I play paragon. I will go after the reaper, Udina, TIM, and maybe then Bioware. How many renegade points for taking out Bioware?

Edit. You can have more than one play through, Epoch. So have fun. But stay faithful. Ash is worth it.

I did the same thing. Went after Miranda just to experience it and I'm a Chuck fan, came away feeling dirty. Ashley feels the most genuine of the LI's.

Thanks for the heart warming Ash hug.Thats one way for getting that mistake of a miranda romance outta my head lol.Posted Image

I have a friend who only has ME2 and he asked me why I don't romance anyone from the game.
I then told him to play ME1 and he'll understand.

Sort of related comment to some posts above: I found it very frustrating too -although thankfully I'd been following the boards prior to release, so I was prepared- how limited the ME1 LI's role was in ME2. So I understand why some people may feel as though BW was pushing players, especially new ones, towards the ME2 LIs. But then on the other hand, I've been having a hard time reconciling what seems to me to be a sort of general "casual hook up" feeling the writers brought to the new LIs. Disclaimer: I haven't played through all romances, but the romances with Jacob and Miranda, who are arguably the Kaidan/Ash "replacements" for the game, seemed wayyyyy more about a quickie before going through the relay than an intimate moment based on serious attachment, as in Tali/Garrus's case (ME1 connection) or even Jack (paragon, seeing past her past).

So, I guess basically what I am asking is, were the writers trying to encourage ME2 LI hook ups by making Kaidan and Ash's appearance on Horizon such a sadface moment, or were they trying to encourage us to stay faithful by making the majority of the ME2 romances a quick fling? Or were they deliberately leaving things ambiguous so that players old and new could interpret a, b and c however they pleased?

Ashley and Jack are the 2 best LI's.

Jack just gives you such an emotional....I guess, good feeling that you have fixed her.

Which is the only reason I romanced her, to be honest. But it was awesome. I hope the emotion of Ash back in Shep's bed will be better,But knowing Bioware, I am sure it will be.

I feel the same. I always stay faithful. I did 2 different single shep play throughs. Had Tali and Jack as LI's in those. They are both well done I think. Jack is much better than I thought she would be. Tali is very touching, her dialog about I watched you, when this happened and that happened, I watched you when Kaidan was killed, I never thought you would see throught this, and points to her mask. That is very moving to me. But as good as that was done. It just didn't feel right. Hard to explain But Ash just fits my shepard. It feels like thats what should be. My Shep should be with Ash.

I am on my 4th play through of Me2. Yes I am faithful to Ash.

Have to clarify my previous post.

That sounded like something i did not mean it to.

I love Ashley to death. I might be among the top 15 posters on this thread. Its not about her physical attractiveness to me (She is lovely looking though.), Its the emotion.

You cant have a romance without it being based around emotion and physical attraction.

I hope I said that right.

I think I read once where bioware really didn't think people would stay faithful because ME2 LI's were so compelling. I love all the characters. I do. But compelling compared to Ash, Kaiden, or even Liaria? I don't thinks so. Maybe Tali. I tried that one, Tali as a LI seemed genuine and sweet. Not a one night stand. That being said. Its not Ash. Ash just seems to fit. Just feels right.

This, Bioware shot themselves in the foot if they were trying to get rid of the ME1 LI's. None of the ME2 squad felt right for Shepard but Ash and Shepard are just right for each other. Tali i think should be with Kal'Reeger, Miranda should be with Jacob.
