Had only 2 playthroughs, the second one was a FemShep.
However I like Liara more, so if Ash had survived I would have went for Liara in the catfight scene. But I also like Ash, I will certainly romance her in another playthrough.

I agree, the forums are a bit misleading I think. Looking at the Ashley and Kaidan groups, you would think there are tons of fans of them. The problem is that most of them don't post.
