i think jacob was alright guy,hes alot like garrus they both want too do good and fight the good fight with out rules or anyone getting in there way (im surprsied they dont have more dialogue with eachother) i guess u can lable him as boring beacuz considering shep's other teammates thourghout the games hes jus a normal soldier who wants too be a hero.

Maybe, but Garrus has something that allows him to be an interesting character. But Jacob? I don't see anything in him.

Never let the convo with Jacob get that far myself. I was more thinking about fem sheps dialog and tone with Jacob. The dialog and the tone of the dialog from femshep with Jacob seemed different than when she talked to the other males to me. Seemed like she was hitting on him big time. Not as much with the others.

IMO - a lot of the femshep dialogue with potential LIs in ME2 gets kind of ... creepy.  Once I made the transition into conversations done in "sexy voice", I shelved the playthrough and went back to Sheploo.

@ashii6 i agree garrus is my seacond fav charecter in MEU third is legion.maybe its beacuz jacob constantly talks in a kindve boring deep voice he never seems too get excited.not only that but why cant he use an assault rifle,he was an EX allaince marine there all trained too use an assault rifle???

I always found Jacob easily ignorable. No major flaws to pick at (his char, not his scenes), but nothing on the positive side either.

I agree. Recognition in ME2 of love interests from ME1 was sorely lacking all across the board.

I play male shep. Sheploo. But I do love Jennifer Hales voice work. She is very good at what she does. I cant really play femshep in ME1 much. Well see there is this really great character that is also a LI for male shep. Ashley. So I cant help myself. Ash is worth it.

I tried play as female Shep and romanced with Liara, but... I turned it off. I got used to play as male Shep.

Jennifer Hale is good, no doubt about that. She does have a tendency to deliver her lines a bit breathily, though. As far as voice acting goes, I think Hale/Meer is sort of a Yin Yang relationship; they each complement the other, and neither one is the strongest, per se, but rather the two of them taken together constitute the complete character. If you follow what I'm saying. One without the other lessens both.

(P.S. But not even Hale could salvage that awful "You still cared for him, even if he betrayed you" line.)
