All Shep had in ME2 regular email, no compose, or replay buttons. grrrr. I so wanted a block button or a spam box to send timmy to.

Apparently, Cerberus spent all their money on the fish tank for your cabin, and when it came time to set up the ship's extranet link, they cheaped out and bought a service plan from AOL (Alliance On-Line).

ive accpeted the fact that ashleys screen time in ME2 is limited.BUT she is mentioned alot until you see her on Horzion.You see her for like 5 mins in the begning which is nice.then shpard asks TIM where she is,then shepard asks anderson where she is,then of course you see her on horzion

for a good 10mins and its always best too take garrus on that mission even if you dont like him.then joker and kelly ask about shepard about her.(when i talk too joker i always choose the renagde option it makes it seem like shepard is more heartbroken and angry) then you get the email then u can ask anderson about her again and then of course if u were loyal u get a nice scene where shepard stares at her picture and smiles.so even though her actuall screen time is limited she is refranced quit often thourgh the game.

I think that is a good look at the positive side of things. One other thing they really should have have included was dialogue options for "No, I don't want to start a romance with [insert character name here] because I'm still in love with [insert name of ME1 LI here]". At the very least Tali or Garrus should have had "Aren't you still involved with Ashley/Kaidan/Liara?" lines, because I highly doubt they would have been unaware of a relationship there. Buyt instead of that, we got a passing line from Kelly Chambers.

I guess what I'm saying is, for loyal Shepards pursuing a romance with on of the new LI's (either intentionally or by accident), the old romance should have been brought up by ME2 LI's other than Kelly Chambers.

@zeuss i like too think so.but your right there should have been some dialogue options stating that ur already in a relationship with with such and such.i think however the reason they left that out is beacuz even though we see shepard and ashley still in a realtionship they really arent.sure they still love each other but really there broken up. im mean shep was dead for 2 years and when he dose come back they only she each other for 10 mins.now wats on the table for ME3 is the possiblity of getting back too togther (wll unless you cheated then expect a ross and rachel type thing too go down) "WTF shepard you cheated on ME!!!!" "Ash WE WERE ON A BRAKEEE!!!!!"

I can definitely see Jack, Miranda, or Jacob just not giving it a second thought, but surely Garrus, Tali, or even Thane would want to make sure Shepard wasn't hung up on a past relationship or reluctant to start a new one. It just doesn't scan that no one besides Kelly even considers that Shepard might still have feelings for someone else. (And, in fact, Kelly doesn't ever mention Liara, and neither does Joker, but that's a topic for the Liara thread.)

Personally, I see it as more likely that Jack, Miranda and Jacob don't even know. I doubt that anyone outside Shephards original crew is likely to know about the romance, except Kelly, who afterall is in charge of monitoring crew welfare, which likely means she has investigated you and that is how she knows.

I can't really see my Renagon Shephard as the type of guy who would talk about his love life and feelings that openly to anyone, so if they didn't know already, would be unlikely to hear about it from him.

I was Romancing Miranda in my first playthrough of ME2 (stayed faithful to Ash in my second), and Miranda was in my party on Horizon.  I really felt like she should have said something along the lines of "sooo...  what about Ashley?" at some point.

if Jacob dosen't make it to ME3 because of all people against him..i will do something non violent and non threatening to u all...he is the like my Shepard's best friend in ME2....never played with a female Shep but as a male Shep Jacob is cool...well maybe it's just that i don't get in detail too much with him..but he always has my back...and i agree with his view on Thane...not a big fan of Thane but i like that he calls me a friend in the end..

You may have a point there. But still, I would expect at least Garrus or Tali to know, and care.

Well I understand when people say that Ash and Shep aren't a couple thing cause death can do that to a relationship. But I feel that really applies to Ash not Shep in my opinion. Ash had to deal with his death, she didn't want to leave him on the normandy he made her go, guilt? . When she finally starts to come to terms with it 2 years later, rumors of shep being alive and working with cerberus start floating around ( yeah thanks for that timmy ) then Horizon,..
For Shep it has been like what 2 days in his mind? So his feeling would be the same as when he told her to get everyone off the normandy before it blew up. Thats how I see it.

yea but as we all know if the female says theres no relationship then thers NO relationship lol.when it comes too this kindve of stuff most of the time it dosnt matter wat a guy feels.

Yes I am the same, one playthrough in which I remained loyal to Ashley, and one in which I romanced Miranda. You are indeed right though, it would have been nice if Miranda or whoever you are romancing at least mentioned it after Horizon, but it is likely just a simple oversight by Bioware.

I have never understood the Jacob hate, I really like his character. Perhaps you need to romanced him though to understand...

Real quick about the ME1 crew knowing about Ash and Shep or not.If Ash and Shep are in a relationship. The debriefing after Virmire.
Ash is very upset and in front of everyone says: Kaidan died because of me,....because of us.
Shep's reply ( paragon ) I could never leave you behind Ash, you know that.
So if the crew should get it. Ash kinda let the secret out.
