May sound silly, but it was a fantastic show. Sad to see it go. Great ending, made you feel good, but its said to see it end.

I think the light they were guarding on the island was heaven, and the events on the island were all real, in the parallel timeline, they needed each other to remember, so they could all be together after death.

I was thinking that until they zoomed out to the wreckage at the end. I think it was meant to indicate that they all died in the plane crash, and that's why they couldn't leave the Island. Sort of like a purgatory, proving themselves worthy to Jacob about whether or not they could "enter the light".
I liked the finale, but I get the feeling a lot of fans will be raising all hell over it.

I think the plane crash was to indicate that the event was irreversable, because the alternate timeline appeared to be heaven where everyone could finally be together after death.SilverRose208 wrote...

I liked the ending personally. The whole episode was very heartwarming. I would like to see the alternate endings on the Jimmy Kimmel show tommorow. Im taping it.

Agreed.SilverRose208 wrote...
Agreed. I did a mass "catch up" sprint through the holidays and watched all 5 seasons back-to-back before the 6th started. It really helped me appreciate how much of a story the writers were crafting - even during episodes I hated and thought pointless the first time around (I'm looking at you, "What Kate Did"). Tuesdays will be so empty now.
BTW, what was "What Kate Did" about? I think the episodes had more purpose and meaning after there were only 18 episodes a season compared to 24. The only one I thought that didnt really need an episode was the one explaining Jack's tatoos.
