I want Ash's role to be a surprise. A big happy, romantic , more than I could have ever hope for , beyond my wildest dreams, so good it more than makes up for how little she was used in ME2 surprise.  That should do it. I don't want much do i? Did I miss anything.

I couldn't have said it any better myself.Well said.

I'm still holding on to the fact that Bioware said we'd be "rewarded"  for our loyalty to Ash.
But how they will 'reward' us is another thing. We can only hope.

I will have to look up this quote. I have heard about it. Never seen it. I have read the one about ME1 love interest being kept out of ME2 because it was a suicide mission. I don't buy that one btw. They could have been used more.

This is including a bit of truths. Because if he didn't come back from suicide mission,Shep could hurt Ashley again.

One step at a time... Obviously I would love for a bunch of ash content, but realistically they aren't going to design it for a character someone might have offed.

Pretty sure me3 will be similar to me1 in regards to how they handle team mates. Might be some recruitment missions for guys you've never met before, but I expect that you'll be able to get just about whatever old squad mate you want, on your team again. Just because they really don't require that much work to add and the fan support would be through the roof if they allowed everyone to come back.

A lot of people think me3 team mates will be like how they handled it in me2. IMO, this is silly. They couldn't create content for wrex or ashley or kaidan in me2 because some people wouldn't get to see that content. In me3 you aren't gaining the loyalty of your squad again. This problem is non existant.

Just talking/ranting out loud here.

I get where you are coming from. But I am not quite sure. Don't know if you played dragon age. I won't spoil it. Just want to say, you can recruit a camp full of people with talks that happen in camp, special missions for them. Party banter, just tons of content. Lots of VO work. You can tell abunch of the recruits to leave. You then have alot of unused material that was created for the character that doesn't get seen. It was a much longer game. So it is possible that bioware could make character specific content for ME1 love interest.
Not saying they will. Just saying they have done things like this in other games. If the possibility of Ash not being in every ones game means they wont do much with her, Then the people who like the ME2 squad are gonna shed alot of tears. They could all be dead in some play throughs. So why bother doing much for them.

Not arguing , Just saying.

Hi guys, I already did this today, but just want to reciprocate the love Da Shadow Master showed us on the Kaidan thread a little while ago. Go Ash! May she get lots of chances to wield her boomstick in ME3! <3

Quote from Casey Hudson of bioware

Because we wanted to make sure the love interest can remain an
important and integral part of the story, we want that to continue into
the third game. We have some really important things we want to resolve
there. That means we can't have these characters that were your love
interests in this suicide mission potentially getting killed and then
blocking off that opportunity. They're part of the story. They're part
of the ongoing love story but they're not your squad members so that we
can be sure that we can bring that love story to its conclusion."

xbox360.ign.com/articles/105/1055366p2.html   Second paragraph

Third paragraph he talks about thinking people will cheat because ME2 LI are so compelling. ( what ever Casey )

Thank you. Virmire surviors unite.  We did have a little fantasy earlier. A mob surrounding bioware demanding the release of Ash, of Kaidan, and chocolate.

I plan to pick up DA:O the next time it gets a price drop or a steam sale.Really looking forward to it. So thanks for not spoiling it for me, and I'm afraid to say I know next to nothing about the game.

btw, I really hope you're right. I wasn't aware what BioWare did with DA:O.  I would just be overly joyed if she were simply a team mate. Any more and its just icing on the cake.

I am not saying they will do it for Mass Effect. I am just hoping for something great. I guess I want that for everyone really. I really like all the characters. I am partial to ME1 crew. If bioware doesn't make much content for characters because they could be missing from somepeoples games, many , many people are gonna be mad or sad. I don't want that. Hope we all get what we wish for.

ME2 LI compelling?   What's so compelling about a romance that has no build up and is basically
'Oh shepard I brought you back so we can f*** like mindless husks"
BW please don't toy with my shepard's emotions here.I felt like not finishing ME2 after Horizon....
If it wasn't for Ash's email I probably wouldn't have.

The Tali romance was the only other one I even thought about while playing for the first time. The other two didn't even cross my mind.

Sorry Ashii6,    I will try to sum it up. Make it short.

Some people think that bioware wont go to the trouble of writing big roles for Ash, Kaidan , or Wrex. Cause they mights not be in some peoples games. They could be dead. Why waste time doing all the work to make a character some might to ever see.

I was saying in Dragon Age origins game they had very big characters you could ask to leave the game. So bioware is capable of putting alot of work into character no one might ever see.

I don't know if they will give Ash a big role. But because she might not be in everyones game is no reason not to.

Hope that was clear.

I think that bioware will either have everyone from past games be recruitable, or none. The reason is that everyone has now had the ability to die. They are all on an even playing field and if they picked out some characters and left others out that would be playing favorites and fans would not be to happy. I hope that whatever the outcome Ash is recruitable.

Oh wait, they might have done that themselves.  :P Never mind, carry on.
