BrotherArdis,
I agree. I never read Tennyson before. Only read ulysses ( hope I spelled that right ) because of Ash.
I think some people get annoyed with it.I guess the just want her to do what she is told and comment on how hot shep is. I like all the layers and facets, flaws and all. Makes her more real.

I have to admit to my shame I've still not read Tennyson, and my only contact with Ulysses has been through a) The...80's? cartoon of the same name, and B) The Simpsons parody of it ;)

No time like the present,

People in class, paying for an education, but paying more attention to this thread. That's dedication.
College people come hang out when you have no class. ( wait what did Liam mean by that )

Tried some others with a single shep. It's Ashley , she is the one. If she isn't a LI in ME3 , my shep will spend a lot of time drinking. He drinks a lot in ME2 because he misses Ash, and he shoots alot of things. I vote we get to take the alcohol with us on missions in ME3 if Ash isn't a love interest. Guns , alcohol, and missing Ashe = lots of dead bad guys.

And twice as much collateral damage, I'd say. :P But I support the idea. :]

True about collateral damage. In this little fantasy we are talking about Shep losing Ash, so very understandable.
I support the beer helmet DLC for shep.

I still am hoping (but I'm doubtful this will happen) that one of the DLC's will be you and Ashley (or Kaidan - whoever you saved) on a mission where you both meet accidentally, after you destroyed the Collector Base, and you have to work together to accomplish the mission. The both of you make peace and the Horizon fiasco is forgotten. I still can't believe how badly the Horizon encounter was written.

Ashley's character deserved better then that moment. One of the major characters in ME1 gets a few seconds screentime. At least Wrex and Liara got a little bit of extra time. C'mon, Bioware - an Ashley (or Kaidan) DLC, we saved her on Virmire, it's only fair that we get a little bit more then a hug and "I'm a soldier...it's in my blood...blah, blah, blah...", as Shepard, the frakkin hero of the galaxy just babbles incoherently - Shepard had terrible lines in that Horizon meeting also. Hug...and then something close to: "Hi Ashley, how are you?...blah...blah...blah..." Yeah, great stuff. /facepalm

Wow, I really loved this game but I can't say how much Horizon just left me with the feeling of, "Huh, wait, what just happened?"

I know this has probably been said a dozen times, but the best thing about Ash is her down to earth personality. I love it. She's the only character besides Miri who feels like I'm talking to actual person, in my opinion. I love that she doesn't worry about speaking her mind, and she's not doubtful about her own ideals and convictions, she lets it all loose.

She's one of only 2 characters that I feel very close to simply due to her down to earth personality and outlook on life. I love Ash!!!

Agree. You can visit Wrex and Liara even after their moments. The don't say anything new but you can find them. I spent most of my first play through of ME2 hoping to find Ashley.  To little time with such an important character.

Joking around that since everyone misses Ashley. We want a new helmet for shep.   A beer helmet. So he can drink on missions and wont have to go to the bar.

yes. Ashley just feels very real to me, like I could legitimately walk outside and run into a real person with a similar personality and outlook on life. I also think how she acts on her emotions is great and very human. She lets you know exactly whats shes thinking feeling at that moment, and it makes me feel very in tune with her.
