I imagine that all ME2 characters without romance option leave the team and are going to be replaced by the ME1 LI. = Everyone is happy and BW has less work to do.

Ya, I wouldn't freak out. Miranda is damn near impossible to kill unless you didn't do her loyalty mission.

Nice find Liam. I am conflicted over the final line in the second paragraph....It is good that ME1 LI is basically confirmed returning in ME3, but I am starting to worry that ME2 characters won't be appearing at all. In my opinion, that would be a really bad move on Bioware's part as anyone can clearly see from posting on here that practically every character has their own support thread, some of which are in the thousands/tens of thousands. Not only that, I don't want to spend the better part of the third game in a trilogy finding out about an entire new cast of characters. I have my squad from the first two games, I don't need to be introduced to ten more as I will not become attached to them in the way I have for characters in ME1 and ME2 because, oh I don't know, IT IS THE LAST GAME IN A TRILOGY?

Relax , I think miri will be fine. I think it is just   the ones from ME1 that are alive are in for ME3. Like Ash/ Kaidan, and Liara.

Yeah, we don´t have to worry about Miranda. She´s an important character throughout ME2, has many fans (devs too) and was in almost every advertisment for the game. She´s about as important as  Shepard I´d say. (or close to him)

Also, I want to see a Ash/Miranda catfight.

I don't know but think this line might be, if the they are dead in your game. They aren't coming back. Cause , well,.... the would be dead. Same thing bioware was asked about what characters from ME1 would return. If they are dead, they wont.

This is logical. Do not come back, because they are dead, right? Unless the project Lazarus suddenly will have more patient. But it will be stupid..

I hope that line is merely referring to those who died in your ME2 playthrough, which for me would be isolated to one (R.I.P. Grunt), as that would make perfect sense. But I hope everyone that got out of that suicide mission with almost everyone intact isn't penalized by the terrible commanders who got everyone killed. And I hope Bioware doesn't pull another ME2 and somehow hit the reset button on our Shepard so that all of his squad mates move on with their lives without him. As much as I trust Bioware, this is how I think things may turn out:

Shepard is put in jail for treason for his work with Cerberus. He is in jail for 2 years (or however long) and the galaxy once again moves on without him. His team mates from ME2 move on (or die in the case of Thane and Mordin), but everyone else that survived is reduced to cameos (Tali and Garrus included). Then you are released/broken out because the Reaper threat is realized as real and the galaxy needs your help to take them down. Then you can go out recruiting people like Ashley/Kaiden and Liara.

As much as I don't want the story to pan out that way, it would be the absolute easiest way for Bioware to reduce the severity of every players actions at the end of ME2 and make new players to the trilogy (whom I could care less about because you shouldn't be jumping into the final chapter of a story anyways) feel right at home

It's simply unreal, after my years on the internet I think I have actually become acclimatized to all the ranting. I'm rather shocked to see two people conversing without a single "lolz, you fail!!!" in sight. If the Kaidan thread is like this I may have to pop over there more often.

We're a friendly lot! You just have to be able to handle the occasional shirtless Kaidan picture. Doug84 may have some good pointers there.

We are friendly, be warned though, it gets pretty depraved in there .............. and that's the way we like it!

I dunno. As I've said before mass effect 3 isn't mass effect 2. I don't think its fair to bioware to say they're just going to copy me2 again. I give them more credit than that. They had justifiable reasons for the decisions they made and they all made sense with the story.
