That's a good point about Ash and the Alliance. Maybe they even wanted to quietly sweep her under the rug and Anderson wouldn't let them. So I wonder about the relationship with Anderson and Ashley during those two years. It's not exactly a commanding officer regulation type relationship. He's her contact and her support. Would be interesting to see the kind of professional/friendship relationship that evolved in that time period.
