Ash romance does feel like a natural fit for Shep. IMHO Horizon makes sense looking at the circumstances. Shep dead for two years , awake for like two days. Ash finds him working for cerberus, the group the both fought against. Ash probably wonders if shep might have been alive all along. So her reaction on horizon is understandable. Stubborn? Yes, it's Ash. Thats part of her appeal. If you want some one to lay at your feet. It's not her.XX55XX wrote...
When I first played Mass Effect, my Shepard romanced Ashley. Liara was cool and all, but I never quite understood why she fell for Shepard. (Did he being marked by the beacon on Eden Prime really demonstrate anything?)
Despite this, I never quite liked Ashley as much as I liked Liara - sure I liked the romance better, but it was only because it felt more "natural" for the lack of a better word.
Then, I played ME2 and met Ashley on Horizon. I kept thinking, "What a stubborn little -!" and wasted no time in having my Shepard turn his back on her and romance Tali instead.
I hope Ashley comes back so that Shepard can tell her that Tali is his new woman now. Can't wait to see the reaction.
But, regardless, Ashley makes a fine soldier and would play a great part in the upcoming fight against the Reapers, I am certain of it.

Bioware didn't give us much to tell Ash did they? Ash did listen I think. Didn't show on horizon. Did you read the email? She says she understood why cerberus sent you to horizon, and if any one can stop the collectors you can. She even said she was sorry for what she said to Shep. I think bioware played it the way they did for angst. Maybe even to drive people to other LI. just to see what would happen. I stayed faithful. I like Ash. I get her. She fits.XX55XX wrote...

FYI. I am not against other LI's. I have ME1 single sheps that romanced Jack and Tali. But for me , Ash just fits.

Ashley's romance is the best romance in any video game period (I consider it even better than Tali's because the pacing was so much better), but her character doesn't quite mesh with me. Woman is hard as nails.
