I can honestly say that when I saw Ashley in the ME2 trailer, my heart leaped inside my chest and all those deep feelings of admiration and devotion came rushing back to me after two years time. I didn't expect it to happen, wasn't even thinking about it, however I ached inside wondering how long it would be until she and I would be reacquainted. Sadly ME2 doesn't give the satisfaction for my Shep to continue the romance dialog and deepen our relationship. I'm praying to the gods that ME3 will resolve this issue.
Ashley is not for everyone, but if you've been in the military she is easy to understand from the start. She is a true example of a soldier who abides by her convictions without compromise. A women most worthy of my Shepard for certain. She will always be forever in my Shepard’s heart of hearts.
Bioware, for the love of god, give us back our Ashley pls.
Bioware had a good head-screw with us, didn't they? I saw the trailer where she was abducted, finished most of Horizon, and was like, "well, damn, now I guess I have to go rescure her from the collector ship."
They definitely had me.

I have said "screw everything else!" if I had to rescue Ash from ANYTHING.

I just hope that if she is in ME3 that it is not going to be save her or save multiple people. I think that could result in a loss either way.Badpie wrote...

I think we are Good....she could die in ME1 and is fine and alive in ME2 so I think it is almost safe to say that she won't Die in ME3.(Knock on Wood)The Black Ghost wrote...
I hope they dont just thow her character away again.
Liara on the other hand has not had the chance too Bite it yet so I see her geting killed in ME3 or the chance of it.

Don't forget the rumored Liara DLC. (Though it would be kind of jerk-y to kill a major character off in DLC.)

Luckily, I've left Ash to die in Virmire on both of my playthroughs, so she won't hurt my brain ever again with her racist talk about aliens being like dogs that we can sic on our problems.
That's funny, because by story's end, Ashley was the one urging me to open the relays so the Alliance could save the Council, even if it meant that thousands of humans would die.
Almost every time I brought her with me, she was all for letting the Council to die. Hell, a good friend of mine was playing a Paragon on his first playthrough, romanced Ash and by the end she told him to leave the Council to die. Well, he followed a bit of a "yes pumpkin, if you say so then it must be for the best" logic, did what she said and as he saw the Alliance leave the Council to be slaughtered he thought wih horror "who did I let my Shepard fall in love with in this game? The Anti-Christ?".
He's been gradually changing his opinion on Ashley since then to something a little less posititve.

All I can say is that there is lot more than just saving the council or watching them die to it. With metagaming we know that you can kill Soveriegn whether you save the council or not. But the choice is presented as if you should risk the Alliance Fleet to save the Council or keep the Alliance Fleet intact to ensure it can deliver the knockout punch required to ensure that Sovereign is killed. You are making a huge gamble if you divert resouces to save the council.
You can of course reason yourself around this if you want, and determine that it make tactical sense to save the council as this will kill more Geth ships, which ought to mean that there will be less Geth ships on the Alliance flanks when they go for Sovereign, or you can indeed decide to let the Council die to ensure humanity can dominate politics afterwards, but that is not what Ashley argues. Ashley wants you to not waste the Alliance fleet and risk not having enough forces to deal with Sovereign.
Note also that there will always be one team member who will argue for and one against saving the council and I have seen some argue either way, depending on who the other squad member is. This was never meant to be a character test for the team mates.

And? We're not discussin the tactical matters of saving the Council or not. Hell, tactically things are evened out because saving the Council means saving the Destiny Ascension, a.k.a. the biggest, strongest, most powerful ship on the whole Council fleet. It obviously can't survive on its own against a Sovereign and a whole geth armada, but it's still one hell of a juggernaut.
Anyway, that's not the point here.

Yes, I know that. The same thing happens, for instance, on Ilos where one character will react to Virgil's force field by thinking it's a trap laid out by Saren with one companion, and give a reassuring "I don't think Saren's responsible for this" with another squad mate. Makes you wonder what trigered the different thought process on that one
Bottom line, Ashley will be all for killing the Council most of the time. Not always, just more often than not.

She had the same bewbs as everyone else in ME1. Perky....and the sideboob shot was, well...there was definitely some full and roundness going on there.
DISCLAIMER: Female just admiring the uh....the artistic juxtaposition of that scene. Yes. That's it.

Shep: "Ash! It's good to see you!"
Ashley: "Is that all you have to say? You vanish for two years and you expect to walk back into my life?"
Shep: "Erm... I was dead."
Ashley: "You never called! Not once! After the Normandy blew up, the least you could have done is walked back to the Citadel and back into my life! I needed you! We all did!"
Shep: "I was dead! I couldn't exactly - "
Ashley: "No! That's no excuse! I could have been dead too, and you'd still not have picked up the phone! Not even a letter!"
Shep: "Look, I know it must be hard, but I wasn't even alive..."
Ashley: "And now here you are, back in my life like nothing happened with this prefab-trash that doesn't know how to dress herself..."
Jack: "Is she talking about you or me, Princess?"
Miranda: "Hey!"
Ashley: "And now you're working for Cerberus! Don't you remember what they were doing with those overgrown bugs? All the hatred they have for aliens?"
Shep: "Well, you were never exactly keen on them yourself, Ash..."
Ashley: "You've crossed a line, Shepard! I would have done anything for you. Anything! I even put up with those two ugly creatures on my deck! Now, I don't even know who you are! Is it too much to expect a postcard? Have your little Cerberus friends not heard of email? Dear Ashley - I'm alive. Would that have been so hard? I went to all those memorials they had for you, you know? I was the one left behind! Me! And now here you are with a slinky black outfit, women on your arms and using death as an excuse and I'm left with the same unflatering white and red armour with no support..."
I was a little happy I got the 'Dear John' email from her in the end

Nice.
I haven't read anything ME-related as funny as this since the following bit on Mock Effect:
ASHLEY: With respect, Commander, we should rely on ourselves. Humanity I mean.
JANE: How do you get from relying on ourselves to mistreating our allies?
ASHLEY:
I don’t mean mistreat them, it’s just… look, if you’re fighting a bear
and the only way for you to survive is to sic your dog on it and run,
you’ll do it. As much as you love your dog, it isn’t human.
(There is a long pause.)
JANE: What the hell?!
JOHN: I don’t get it.
ASHLEY: It’s not racism, really. It’s just…
JANE:
Yes! Yes it is racism! Just because you use a metaphor the meaning
doesn’t change! If you say, ‘If we were tabby cats, then it would have
been totally okay to enslave the other cats’ it still counts as racism!

By the way Lusitanum, the "human" fighting the bear in her her analogy is the aliens and the "dog" is humanity. Just saying. Lots of people get this confused. She's saying the ALIENS might throw US under the bus to protect their own interests, which is why we need to be able to stand on our own, while still having allies.
