Yes I do like space.

Claudia is great.

If bioware wanted to really test my Sheps resolve towards Ashley.

If Ashely takes shep home to meet the family, and her mom is Dark haired, strong willed,...

voiced by Claudia Black

Then maybe we will talk.

I loved Ash's character.

She has strong family values and is mildly xenophobic because of the reputation her family gained during First Contact, but that prejudice dissipates after spending time with people like Garrus and Tali.

She's an unswervingly loyal, fierce combatant, who has a softer side (not that she had an emotional wall built up in the first place) that enjoys poetry, and is just as committed to duty as Shepard.

What's more, I like being called "Skipper".

I think I have talked about Ash enough today.

Think I will go to to Ash. Take a little walk around the citadel.

Gotta say really got my fingers crossed for ME3 for ash, she was by far the most fleshed out character in ME1 not to every ones tastes (hell im not one for religious types but cant help admiring her) she deserves as much screen time as joker at the least. After horizon i was in a state of WTF for a good 24hrs really gave me a kick in the goolies that scene, even after that i still see her as the best romance choice. Ive tried the others but tbh none of them had the emotion weight of her scene in the first mass effect before illos, i felt like id really cracked through the thick shell she put up over the years. Ive tried the to like the others in mass effect 2 the overcoming the suit thing with tali was quite good, but it didnt compare to the feeling of real romance as you got from ash in ME1. Bit of a pitty as it made ME 2 feel little more than filler but fingers crossed that she might pop up in a dlc or possible expansion.

I don't like her because of her xenophobia, and no, she never got over it.

In ME2 if you as her to join you she says, "I may not like aliens, but Cerberus goes too far."

For some reason people always ignore that fact. =/

All I can say, is I better get a good ending for Ash. She's a stand out character as far as Bioware creations go.

I honestly felt like she and Kaidan got a bit of the shaft in ME2, but all will be forgiven if she gets a proper conclusion with Shepard in ME3.

Ah yes, because not holding hands in a circle singing the prasies of the useless Citadel council races is the sign of a true racist.

I'm currently playing KOTOR I think I ran into Ashley on Tatoonie and that brought me more joy than ME2.

I'm assuming you mean the VA, Kimberly Brooks. (Who also had a small part in Batman: Arkham Asylum. In took me a minute to catch it..."where have I heard that voice before?"...)

Yeah I did the same....Then on my second playthroug I went with Miranda and it was kinda dull.
I did not try cheating at all  in my first playthrough...wanted to be true to my Character Ash is the Only one.

The miranda scene was dull, watched on youtube, I can tell I'll only be getting 50/51 achievements in this game

What bugged me the most about ME2 was the intro. I thought it would have been nice to have a small cutscene on the original Normandy before the attack showing a love scene between Shepard and your LI.

A small part of me wants to believe there will be a prequel DLC bridging the gap between ME1 and ME2 but I know I sound insane.

I really don't think Shep and Ash had too much time together between ME1 and the intro to ME2: Ash's email talks about "their night" as if they only had that one night together.

(Which as I've written before -- about 20 pages back in this thread, good to see it still going strong! -- is one of the reasons that both of their reactions on Horizon make sense to me, with their uncertainty and awkwardness.  Neither is quite sure where the other one stands, whether the other feels as they do.  While Bioware obviously doesn't give Shepard the option, it's still to Ash's credit that she's the one who swiftly makes the first move to start making things right between them, by sending the email.)

Well, that and Shepard hasn't learned how to use this new-fangled electronic mail these kids are using these days. It was frustrating to get Ash's email and not be able to respond (or change Commander Shepard's relationship status to "It's Complicated"). Space Shepard couldn't even write his Mom!

But I agree that their uncertainty on Horizon makes sense. Neither of them have a good 'grip' on the situation or how to react--and sometimes it's hard to convey that in a dialogue scene because the player gets to sit and think about his dialogue choices. (The Landsmeet and the choice between Alistair and SPECIAL MYSTERY CHARACTER suffers the same problem, imo.)

I don't really care if they bring her back, she's radioactive dust in all of my ME 1 saves.

Edit:  Disclaimer: I didn't like the romance option in ME 1 with Ashley as I find a relationship with a NCO under your command is unethical and bad for ship morale and military discipline.  I also let her die each play through as Kaidan and the Nuke are more important than her holding action in the tower.

Yes, on the whole I liked the email gameplay addition -- a simple, low-effort way on Bioware's part to give you feedback without needing to spend thousands of dollars on voiceacting, orchestrating cut scenes, etc.  But it sure was frustrating at times.  I really did want a scene, as you're about to go through the Omega-4 relay, where Shepard does sit down and write out some emails to Ash, his Mom, Liara, etc.

(The whole bit where he was staring at Ash's photo, the thought going through my mind was, "damn, I really should have emailed her!")

I actually thought the scene with Ash (of my 2 imports 1 with Liara and 1 with Ash) was a bit more to my liking I suppose. I would be interested in seeing how it plays out with her, the thing that made me laugh is since I bring Garrus with me to Horizon, she actually responds to that. Garrus (an alien) says that the mission is important and Cerberus is doing the right thing, yet she (whos a touch racist) says they are too extreme..

I just think she's pissed that Shepard didn't call for 2 year!
