Anyone else annoyed with that line, "I'm no fan of aliens." I could almost tell the devs were trying to say, look she's not racist but it almost had the opposite effect. Don't get me wrong. I love her. I started a thread in the old forums about how much I love her.

Hopefully it will be the pre-game level to rescue the Virmire survivor, that or if you meet with the Alliance they suggest you take Ash/Kaiden for the game.

I'm not gonna say i won't play ME3 if she is not squaddie in the game, but i will say i will be GREATLY dissapointed.

same.

its not a stretch to say that shes the reason I loved ME1 so much, and that I spent a lot of time after horizon hoping that shed be just around the next corner.

unfortunately, i was disappointed, but in the context of ME2 I can accept this.

ME3.... has no such excuse.

same, I can never stop playing Mass Effect no matter what happens in the story (as crazy as it could be) but I understand ME2 where they didn't want the ME1 LI to have another chance to die in the second game, so hopfully everyone will return in ME3  So we can all be happy!

Does she still say this if you imported a save where you changed her mind?

Garrus's sidequest dialogue is slightly different depending on what you did with Dr. Saleon. (Doesn't stop him from going all Batman on Omega, though.) And Tali's sidequest gives you a special dialogue option.

Personally, I see a lot of similiarities towards Ashley's attitude towards aliens (especially Turians) in ME1 and Tali's attitude towards the Geth in ME2. (Not the least of which is that Shepard has the opportunity to change their minds.)

I was totally bummed out after the "reunion" with Ashley on Horizon, to the point I considered having my Shepard cheat on her. I didn't because I want him to be as paragon as I can, but dammit if she doesn't 180 me in ME3! I'll get with Jack, Miranda or Tali in a heartbeat...lol! The comment she made during the conversation about aliens also irritated me, considering she fought alongside them successfully in ME1.

Her attitude never bothered me.
I play paragon. I remember my first playthrough of ME 1. Ash brings up that she is uncomfortable about Wrex and garrus being on and checking out the ship. I went the, they are allies and friends route. In my head I was thinking I don't know these people yet, I don't know their cultures, their motivations. Not just them but the groups they belong to.
It turned out ok, but I think Ash was more realistic.
I think she trusts the aliens on the team individually, but not the groups they come from.
She says bad thinks about the alliance sometimes,she doesn't like the tera firma party, and she really doesn't like politicians.
I mean I trust and like Wrex, put me in a room full of strange krogan , I'm not gonna be so trusting.

Reminds me of Grunt's line...
"I hate Turians!"
"What, are you going to start a fight with Garrus?"
"I don't hate GARRUS, I hate TURIANS!"

I think PART of the problem is that humanity's recent war with the Turians is something you really have to dig for. In ME2, Tali's distrust of Geth plays a little differently, because the player actually spent the whole first game fighting Geth.

It somehow wouldn't be Ash without eye-loading problems...lol. I remember hearing that there was an 'eye strike team' that spent three months upgrading character eyes, and the work really shows. You can tell a lot of effort went into the design of 'eyes' for Legion, Thane, and TiM. I wondered if the ME1 models (including Shepard) got the same treatment, or if they were just a straight import.

Which is an interesting question. Do you think Ash should get a visual upgrade or a 'new look' in ME3? Or should she stay pretty close to ME1?
