Jack is 2nd best next to Ashley.

Omg.

I was crying at the end. (I dunno if im too emotional or Bioware is just too good at telling a story.)

tali's romance was pretty well done in my opinion. except that it was too.... sweet? it was almost TOO nice. i liked Ash's a lot better because of the edge she kind of added to it. Ashley's got a kind of fire that Tali simply doesnt have.

Aye, also Tali's romance also felt unfinished IMO. I mean no dialog after (not sure if this is a problem with all of them of not as I have no interest in the other LI's except Ash)? I thought it was well done up until the actual scene.

Anyway, back on topic. Ash for life!!! Also, is it just me or does the pheonix armor look better in ME1 than in ME2? I can't put my finger on why though... I think I need to go back to Horizon and to a side by side comparison.

I remember in ME1 I convinced her to stop being such a racist jackoff. I hope they have a marker for that in the save game thing. I dont want to get back with this chick and have her be an ignorant c*** again.

Managed to keep her alive and get the sentinel achievement. Alenko was cool but Williams is the one and only for Shepard. Bring her back in ME3 at least, though it would be nice to see a DLC for ME2.

It was too open ended after horizon and when you look at her picture for her not to be back.

Bioware you know what needs to be done!

Has this been posted here yet?

Need to dig around for a version where the Shepard isn't wearing DLC armor...it just looks dumb in that scene, lol. It does have Garrus with Shepard, though, for the touch of extra dialogue.

True. Though am I the only one who thought "Why the hell is he going to beat the picture up?"

And for that matter, why is Ash pulling a wierd face?

No helmet version of reunion

Oh how I wish there was a paragon punch interrupt when that Delan guy back talked to Ash. The guy spent the whole time cowering in some locked shelter, not even bothering to help his own colony, and he has the audacity to snark at Ash? Whatever, tool.

Well, I wanted to punch him anyways. Arse, he was. "Oh we don't want the alliance, its all their fault this happened, waaah-waaaah" Just wanted hit him one for being such an ass.

I love how the music in this scene is ME1 throwback-y. (The Wrex reunion is similiar in that way.)

Also, I thought I'd ask - does anyone know where I can get a Ashley/Tali support banner for my sig? And if so, is there a Ash/Tal/Miranda one too :D

I don't know. I had one of my character save game which I kept which Shepard romanced Ashley but her reaction on Horizon was not what I expected from her. Well maybe a little as she was a close minded "anti-alien" bigot in ME1. I thought I got through to her and she learned to be more open minded and not to let her prejudices guide her. The Ashley I left in ME1 was a better person, the one I met on ME2 went back to her close minded ways and threw away everything that went between herself and Shepard on ME1 just because of her blind hatred for Ceberus.

Well ...her loss.

To be fair, finding out Shepard was alive after 2 years of being dead was likely to stir up wierd emotions, methinks.

This. I cant wait to see the Ashley vs. Jack scene in ME3. I love Ashley and all but  I dont see her beating Jack in a fight.

Based on all the things that Ashley saw Cerberus involved in during ME1, I can understand her reaction on Horizon. And, to be honest, I think Shepard would have had a similar reaction to Ashley had their roles been reversed and she was the one suddenly working for an organization that thought nothing about experimenting on people for no other reason than to collect data.

From that point of view, her reaction makes sense. What I don't like about the reunion is Shep's dialogue options, especially the first choice. There's only a few times in ME1 and 2 where I've felt none of the options sounded like something my shep would say - and the Horizon reunion is definitely one of those times. Shep's limited conversation options further justifies Ash's anger, at least for me. I mean - she goes out on a limb and tells Shep she loved him, and the best Shep can respond with is 'join my team - it will be like old times?!' without any mention of his own feelings at any time during the convo? (unless you count the 'i didn't want to drag up old feelings' line, which is hardly on par with a love confession).

Sure, it would have been romantic and sweet and lovely if, after seeing you, Ashley races into your arms and everything is perfect between the two of you, and then Ash joins your squad and you once again save the universe together. But that's not the way Ashley would react, and her conflicted 'I thought you were dead' and follow up hug is much more in keeping with her character.

True, and thats fair enough. But I did want to say, "Look, I couldn't write because I was dead. You know, beyond the grave. And when I wake up, everyone is trying to kill me. And then Anderson wouldn't tell me anything about what you where up to. Can you cut me alittle slack here?"

:D

Tali does have dialogue after the suicide mission if you talk to her.

As for the Phoenix armor, I could swear it's got extra painted on red stipes on the arms, not pink.

Just wanted to drop by and give my support for Ash. Here's hoping that terrible cameo will be made worthwhile in ME3.

I really came to like Ashley in ME1, she grew on me as a character. In ME2 I was just really irked with her and the way she behaved on Horizon. I've been dead for two years and all she can do is get on my case and then just leave me without even properly hearing me out? If that's the kind of person that Ash is then I want nothing to do with her, thank you very much.

I'm squarely in the Miranda camp now ;)

(Edit: I got Ash's email, but one email hardly makes up for how she treated Shep)

Well, I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt in one of my playthroughs, cus lets be honest, its not every day someone who you thought was ultra-dead turns up alive.

She was never really racist, just suspicious of aliens and doubtful that they'd accept us and trust us. And judging by the Council's reaction to the Reaper threat (in ME1 AND ME2), she was right.

Originally I didn't have a problem with Ashley, in fact kind of liked her, but after Horizon it became obvious that she has blind loyalty to the Alliance. Joker, Dr. Chakwas, Garrus, and Tali all trusted in Shepard enough to give him/her the benefit of the doubt. Ashley in ME2 is consistant with how she was in ME1.

The council don't not trust us. Their just politicians (aka idiots). That transcends species ;)
