Sometimes, the crew has just no sense of subtlety whatsoever...

Ash is super pretty in this pic.  Coincidence that it's her most vulnerable moment in the game ("You make me feel good enough")?  I think not.

I think that was the one time in her life she let herself stop being a soldier and simply be who she is. Her trusting Shepard enough to show him that side of her, vulnerability and all, is part of what makes this romance so great.

Yay more Ash pics!

There's just so much to love about Ash!

Her love for her family and willingness to sacrifice herself for the greater good and to redeem her family honor. Her strength, she has a high spirit and wont give up on what she want's and if you got in the way of that she is gonna kick your ass, lol. Her love for poetry, and clubbing, she like's to dance.

Ash is a traditionalist, she joined the Alliance part of her family tradition, she has a drink every armacist day and marks it as a obligation, and she read's her fathers favourite poem to his grave everytime she goes home. Ashley claims she isn't one for words, but her interest in poetry helps her to say what she feels.

Ash dosent seem the type to settle down but i think she would wed and have kids to carry on the family and for love. She will protect her family at all cost's, she traveled home just to walk her sister to school, and she is willing to put up a fight against anyone who call's her grandad a traitor or a coward for saving live's at Shanxi rather than accepting the inevitable defeat if they kept fighting back and the much larger casualty count. Ashley claims ''a Williams has to be better than the best'' to make up for Shanxi, making her dedicated to her job but also blunt and quick-tempered.

She went to the same boot camp as Commander Shepard, Macapá, Brazil. And they both reminisce about there time there and about Gunnery Chief Ellison. She is a natural leader and her old squad praised her tough but fair" discipline.
Ash dosent like people dying for her, she blaimed herself for her squad getting killed and for Jenkins (even though she never meet him) and she blaimed herself for Kaidan when it was not even her choice.

When not on duty she spends her time's cleaning rifle's, i guess to clear her head or so she is alway's ready for anything to happen, maybe both. Ash has a ear to the ground she hear's all the scuttlebutt (gossip) before anyone else.

Ashley also has strong religious beliefs, but she is hesitant about discussing them with Shepard because people sometimes get weirded out by them. Ash's faith is enhanced by her work in space - "how can you look out at this galaxy and not believe in a higher power?" - and she's confident that her father, who passed away, is with God now. She still knows his favorite poem, Tennyson's Ulysses, off by heart.

Due to her time groundside she has never worked with aliens and is has a hard time trusting them, that being said, Ashley isn't xenophobic. Though she doesn't hesitate to shoot Wrex if she truly believes he presents a threat to Shepard on Virmire, she happily volunteers to go with Captain Kirrahe's team and works well with the salarians, respecting their tenacity and skill. Also, despite her belief that humans need to rely on themselves, she dismisses Terra Firma as a group of ''racist's'' and xenophobic "jackals" who have replaced the originally noble aims of the party with anti-alien paranoia. Eventually Ash comes around, content to work with the Normandy's multi-species crew to stop the Reapers.

Ash like's to tease and joke,  "if you want me in a tinfoil miniskirt and thigh-high boots, you'll have to buy me dinner first... sir."  and ''Shepard before you go, i just wanna say....wait you no what? im not telling. You wanna hear this your just gonna have to come back to me''

This is why i love Ash, and no doubt the same can be said for the rest or you lolImage IPB Try and find that much personality and realism in any other caracter, becuase you wont! lol. Image IPB

Amen. Ashley is not some ultimate fantasy woman, she is a real person with real merits and real flaws. That, most of all, is what I find so utterly irresistible about her.

They found expression in the ordinary, meaning from the mundane...

This pic makes me sad, it look's like Ash is about to cry Image IPB Dam you Shepard! You bloody idiot, why did'nt you call or even send a message? Or say anything other than ''it's been to long Ash''. I was expecting Ash to give Shep a big punch during this scene lol.

Well said Funkcase , been going through it twice and cant come up with anything to add really
probebly the best post on Ash in the last 200 pages

@Epoch yeah well typed wrong .. was 50 pages since I last posted a reply but I dont have that much spare time to keep a convo going and besides everytime I find something I would enjoy arguing about the thread have moved on to other topics and jumped 50 pages onwards ;)

@Lord Zeuss I agree much but maybe not the "real" part .. NVM its just me going old ; )
This is why i chose Ashley Williams ... and if I have to come clean .. I havent played through ME 2 yet .. Im kind of stuck before that mission .. =)

Differences in perspective is all.;) Obviously not 'real' as in 'reality', but that was how strongly she resonated with me.

It's not that bad, we get a nice email later on from Ash that is good, just keep an eye out for it lol. The thing that was kinda upsetting was Shepard's response's to Ash, and how it feel's like Bioware did a lazy job in that scene it felt like they were trying to make us dislike Ash. But overall it aint as bad as you might think. And hopefully Bioware will make up for it with some Ash dlc if they do make the romance dlc.

Just popping in to show support, Ash has always been one of the characters I liked the most.

I'll always miss the way she'd call Kaidan "L-T", something that regardless of our choices will never happen again. :/

Takes more than an awful dialogue to do that. :innocent:

The difficulty with the romance dlc (if it actually exists) is probably the implementation into ME3 I imagine.
Thats why the romance pack can´t be too meaningful.
Or Bioware ignores it completely and everyone starts ME3 like nothing happened between ME2 and ME3, no matter what DLC you have installed.
