Indeed, believe right after she gets up :D

Ash: That puts a whole new spin on the phrase "drop on the floor and give me twenty".
Shepard: You still sassin' me soldier? I think you need more physical training.
Ash: Tsk. Now, skipper, what will it take to prove I'm in prime condition?

I also enjoy:

Shepard:  Would you roll your eyes if I said this was the first time in months I've felt that all's right in the galaxy?
Ash:  *giggle*  Yes.

Ash:  Get up to the bridge, Skipper.  I've got other weapons to check out.

Or whenever Shepard says something too sappy to her and she laughs and says something like "Gawd.  You're AWFUL."

On the Citadel:
Ash:  This is quite the view.  Very romantic....if you're into that sort of thing.

For ME3:

Ashley: So...he was dead.

Garrus: Yep.

Ashley: .....?

Garrus: What?

Ashley: He doesn't look very dead to me!

Garrus: Well, he got better.

Ashley: .....

Garrus: What?

Ashley: You know I have more guns than Tali, right?

Anybody get the feeling that some of the stuff in the game was written to feel like it was for the romance, even if it wasn't your romance?

For instance:

Ash is clearly your tie to the Alliance in any game whether you romanced her or not. There is a scene where TIM is telling you very ominously that the Collectors "may be using her to get to you." This happens even if Ash isn't your romance, but I get the feeling it was meant to have more of an impact if you did. And then the whole thing about "putting past relationships behind you" where you can tell TIM it's none of his damned business. That's in any game as well, but again I feel like they knew it would have more of an impact or even included it as canon simply because of the romances.

Am I making sense?...no?...'kay. :)

I've said it before, I'll very likely say it before the end of the week, Ashley better have a big role in ME3. IMO she's your link to the aliance (as Badpie said) so to get the Aliance involved in the upcoming reaper invasion, surely you need Ashley, surely!!

I agree.... and on top of it all I want more than anything in Mass Effect 3 is having Miranda along with Ashley and Liara along with more of Samara all as squadmates.

In ME 1 Ashley and Liara were always in my squad..
If I could of in ME 2 I would of always had Miranda & Ashley as my squad with a bit of Samara and Liara here and there to mix things up.

I missed my little soldier girl in ME 2. It was so good to see her even if it was short lived.

Yeah, you're making sense. But the way I see it is you and Ash where at least ship mates in a dangerous and intense mission, you sacrifaced another soldier to savee her life, and so forth. It'd develop the kind of bond that would make the collectors target her regardless.

The only thing I have with Miranda and the rest of the ME2 squad is that they can all die, soooo...surely they can't be squadmates in ME3 due to people's ME2 saves that may have killed specific squad members.

They can only be at the capacity of, say, Wrex who could've died in ME1 but had a short role in ME2. The only two characters that cannot be killed are Ashley/(>)Kaiden and Liara. Liara seems hell bent on the shadow broker, perhaps that will be worked in for ME3 but it just seems logical to have Ashley/Kaiden back in ME3 for a major part.

Sorry if already covered but have Bioware mentioned anything on why Ashley/Kaiden and Liara were pretty much absent from ME2?

I don't think so. But it made sense story wise. 2 years is a LONG time to be dead

Just finished the game, so in short...

I want Ashley back!! Hear me, gorram you?! Want. Her. BACK!!!

Though my heart ached when I turned down Tali (Tali, I swear, I'll make it up to you in the second playthrough), I stayed faithful to Ash, the most wonderful girl of Mass Effect galaxy.

If Ash is not properly returned to the series in ME3, I solemnly promise to get one of those beam cannon-armed destroyers from FreeSpace 2 (sorry, but mass drivers don't exactly deliver the same amount of awesome  : P) and just burn through Bioware HQ, right to the planet core. You have been warned, game developers.

I keep telling myself I would love to see Ashley as the next human Spectre in ME3 but honestly I do not see her fitting the role. I l love Ash but she is too brash and her attitude towards aliens (even though it has improved) prevent her from being a Spectre candidate. But hey look at Saren he was a racist towards humans and he was the councils top agent. I would rather see her as a high ranking alliance officer in ME3.

About to say, Spectres don't have to be nice - they just have to get the job done. The council aren't fussed how. If you read the first novel, Saren is an extremely brutal bastard.

As for Ash... I don't know. She's always said her loyally lies with the Alliance, but...well, I suppose she might consider it. Especially if the Council make it clear her first job would be the track Shepard down.

The way I'm guessing ME3 will pan out is Shepard is trying to form a network of alliances to stop the reapers - and to the council who don't believe that, it'll look like Saren v2.0 is starting up. So naturally, they'll send a Spectre after him. It would be ... interesting if it was Ashley/Kaiden.

That could be interesting, promoting to Spectre since Shepard worked in the terminus sector, pretty much nullifying the reason of being a Spectre.

I like Ashley's "Okay, we'll put a pin in it... but when this is all over? I'm going to blow. your. mind." comments, honestly. Shame that the "night before Ilos" is referenced in the email, because in my favourite Ashley-playthroughs, it was the night after. :P

Actually, Spectres can be sent anywhere in the Galaxy - the whole point is what they do is off the record and deniable. If they get caught/killed, they can't be used as a reason for war - hence why Spectres are the preferred way of dealing with problems in the Terminus systems.

I sincerely hope they do not make her a spectre and come after me. It would be game over put the controller down and move on. Ash I think will be a squadmate (hope) but more than likely will be a surrogate ala Anderson. I think but hope I am wrong, Liara is going to get lots of time in ME3.
