I'm here. Bouncing around the forums. You think as a result Ash had a bit of a thing for bad boys? I think she may have for a really short amount of time until she remembered that idiots didn't deserve her. I don't think she ever dated anyone who treated her badly though, at least not for long. Ash doesn't put up with that crap.

I could see her dating bad boys for a bit. Though I think it would be shorter than a lot of girl's bad boy phase. She seems to have too much common sense to stick with a jerk for long.

Exactly.  I can't see her putting up with anyone who doesn't treat her really well or is kind of a screw up.  Once she joined the Alliance I can't see her really "dating" anyone though.  She was pretty focused on her career.  I bet her romantic life was a little more casual with less strings attached when she first joined up.

Agreed, though I see her less as the one night or fling type and more of the "friends with benefits" type with someone she genuinely likes and has a sort of friendship with.  But even then I feel like she would focus on one person for that for awhile rather than several.

Do tell.  You mean that they're strict?  I bet Ash's parents were strict.  Which is why rebelling just a little would be kind of fun.  She was the oldest teenage daughter after all.

I am from a military family and i can say my dad is one hard ass lol, he's cool to talk to and i get on with him well but i got my own flat now and he would still get ''vocal'' for little thing's like if i have a plate left out unwashed  I remember giving him a smack when i was 15....should not have done that lol! My mum was like any military mum strong but kind and alot more forgiving than my dad. But still like i said my dad's still cool and we get on probably better than most kids do with there parent's.

That's the term I was looking for! Friends with benefits! I didn't like how I had phrased it but coudn't think how to word it differently. Honestly, she seems so career focused I could see her going months without a relationship or sex.

Me too.  I don't see sex as a priority for her.  Something she healthily enjoys, yes but it's not at the top of her list.  Which is why a fellow marine stationed with her who shares a similar philosophy would be perfect for the occasional booty call (I hate that term too but I had no other way to describe it).

Personally, I'm gonna go with Pyro on this one.  As attractive normal people in their mid to late twenties it's a fair bet that both Shepard and Ashley have had healthy, active sexual lives with several partners prior to each other.

Hmm...it's quite difficult to say, I mean with Shepard it's easier to think that because he's a blank canvas other than his psychological profile and service history, he has no other personal relationships really.

As for Ash...maybe. She is very much a career gal and it could be that she hasn't taken the time to get that close to somebody. I suppose really it's left to your own imaginaton, how you see their relationship in your eyes.
