It might... I hope that isn't the case. And it may not be considering how much characterization and work were put into each squadmate in the game. They are planning on releasing ME3 sooner than the time it took for ME2 to come out, it might not be likely that they'd go and make an entirely new squad roster from scratch and relegate the last game's characters to small cameos.

I don't know if there's a link for that info. But Casey Hudson has said that on more than one occasion.  The part about them being saved for ME3.  To what end or how large a part, no one knows. 

Bioware decide to go this route, and it is their decision. They didn't have to do it.
They could have ( should have ) had a much bigger role in ME3. If not as squad mates, than something more.
They could have given you missons to do or something. Would have been a better introduction to the chacters for
people who only ever played ME2. Better for those of us who had played ME1.
I do trust bioware. I'm hoping for better for Ash in ME3. I'll keep the faith.

It is a shame that people who only played the sequel will just think "Who the hell are these guys", but I am glad that they gave an incentive to keep your character's file around for importing so most of your decisions actually made a difference in ME2. I'm almost positive they're giving Ash, Kaidan, and Liara much bigger parts in Mass Effect 3 anyway. I just hope they don't have the same copypasted dialogue like Ash and Kaidan had. :|

I think that is it in a nutshell. She is strong, sure of herself, knows her strengths and limitations. She also knows what she wants and is not afraid to say it.

Bingo, buddy.  She's all this while still remaining incredibly feminine, a tough balance to have.  I don't see any similarities to Vasquez.  Vasquez was pretty butch.

LOL I should have said that is what people will see when they first come across her. Remember her treatment of that guy who witnessed Nihlus' death on Eden Prime?

Ash grows on you as the story progresses and you will quickly see that she may be as tough as our heroine in Aliens but she is in a league all her own and that is what makes her special.

Whimper...I think his specialty is biology not psychology.   At least he's not interested enough in that field to include it in his Gilbert and Sullivan parady.  I,Robot, Star Trek:TNG, and now Mass Effect.  What is it about G&S that makes so many Sci-Fi works allude to them?

Hahaha!  Do it, Chem!  (The thought of anyone "scampering" off makes me giggle) Yeah I appreciate the role of the picture in the game, but I also thought it was cheesy.  I don't think my Shepard or Ash for that matter are big photo snappers.  Acutally it kind of looks like some sort of military photo, something from the database or her file or something...which I guess would make sense.

Nevermind, the picture is awesome.  haha!

Yes, yes it is. When I look at it in game, I have to stake off the nagging feeling she was having a stroke mid-photo.

Also on a related note, am I the only one who saw Ashley's eyes cross on Horizion during the talk with Shep?
