Ashley love is growing.
Good to see! I always thought I was the only one who actually liked Ashley in the first game, since I didn't see her as racist (at the most, mildly xenophobic) but rather cynical like I am. I feel like her romance is the most natural out of all romance options in both games aside from Tali. They both have a gradual buildup---Ashley needling Shepard to see if he has feelings for her and his thoughts on fraternization--- as well as Tali growing this large infatuation for him and altogether being a good friend to him the entire time. And, I do love both of that sass of theirs.

I for one am glad Ash isn't the most popular character. Reactions to her are very polarized. Which means she seems real.
EVERYBODY
loves Tali. INcluding me. And you know why? Because there is NOTHING
to not like about Tali. She's sweet, she's cute, she's agreeable,
she's a little bumbling and shy, she's smart. There's not a negative
thing to say about her except that there's not a negative thing to say
about her.
Ash has visible issues. She has a big mouth, is wary
of things and people she doesn't understand, doesn't always agree with
Shepard and is blunt as blunt can be. She rubs some people the wrong
way while others are drawn in by her refreshing flaws.

This is a good point as well, Tali is characterized as... well, perfect really. The only other flaw I can name is that of her weak immune system which may kill her in the end with Shepard; a tragic, but awful death.
