Do you think Ashley and Liara became friends off screen? Do think they'll be friends in ME3? It seems they haven't been in contact in the time leading up to ME2. But I'd like to think they got to know each other and were friends.

It's possible. Seems more likely if Shep only persued one of them. Competing over someone tends to stick with you, even if you don't dislike the other person.

Female, and as for why I like Liara more then Ashley. Besides it not being a choice. I really like Liara's character. I think she's cute when she acts shy and unsure, but you can tell she's very smart. She's also not the push over people think she is. She's a really powerful biotic. She's loyal to Shepard and sticks by for the greater good, in ME1, even after her mother dies. And she goes thru hell for you in ME2, and understands things have to be done, she has faith in Shepard.

Ashley, to me anyway...seems like while she loves you, it's not a big deal to her. If love can be quantified...it seems to me that Liara loves Shepard more. Ashely puts duty first and Shepard second, I think it will always be that way. Liara is free to put Shepard first. That's not fair to say, I know.

It's hard to compare the two, and it's not really fair to. I'll just say that, Liara seems like someone that will love with all her heart, and give back as much as you give her. That's hard not to admire and fall for.

Don't worry about it. Most of us are pretty civilized...sometimes.
We get all kinds here, Most like Tali to one degree or another.Kabraxal likes Miranda and Ashley. I like Jack and Ashley. We can make room for a Liara-lover.
