The 'official' Ashley Williams support thread

Jacob is not very memorable as a character. Have to agree.
Jack romance - never tried, never will. For all the compassion I can feel for her, I just can't like her. Maybe I'm delicate or what, but her manner puts me off.
Tragedies in the past. Well, the emount of tragedies in the characters' past is bordering on astonishing in ME2. I understand that Bioware wanted to portray the galaxy as a darker and harsher place, and make the characters more mature, and I absolutely support the idea, but considering how much all those people had been through, it's a bit of a wonder that every single one of them can function normally in life and take on a suicide mission to save the galaxy just like that, to boot. Suppose that's Shepard's badass aura. : P Can't agree with Ashley having no tragedy in her biography though. She may not have gone through any shocking event herself (aside from losing her squad on Eden Prime, but she seems to cope with it surprisingly well), but hey - when your grandfather is unfairly dubbed "coward", if not simply traitor, his supposed failure made widely known to the public, and you care about such things at all, you ain't gonna have a nice, happy life.
Horizon meeting - like it has already been said. In such circumstances, no people would have done any better. And I, for one, would be very disappointed if Ash was like "wow, Shepard, long time no see! After two years, most of which I spend grieving over you, you suddenly come back from the dead, pop up on the exact same planet I'm stationed and ask me to go and fight an omnipotent foe again. Sure I'm coming with you. No, no problem with abandoning post, breaking my orders and generally ruining my career and probably the rest of my life. Why?" If she had to have such a short appearance, it's best it was like it was.
ME1 gameplay - definitely not that bad. Could use the interface functionality from ME2 (I really miss the bindings to order your squadmates with the keyboard now), but other than that, it isn't worse. Just a little different.

Hey Ashley Lovers!
Reposting from the Kaidan thread, with a slight difference:
K, so it always bugged me that my userbars were badly compressed when I uploaded them to my album on the social site, so I finally uploaded them to my personal Photobucket, the links will be nice and sharp here:
Feel free to take em, and as always, if anyone wants the PSD file, PM me.
Great work with those, thanks.
And Doug84, try the casual setting like Liam said and using the console. It made my last run infinitely faster having the geth super gun and super armor for insanity difficulty. And it's amusing to me to see the constant "I WILL DESTROY YOU" and shoot them once and they continue flying until they hit a crate or a wall.
Its just...the idea of having to grind that many worlds again....ergh. Though I suppose if I just stick to the main plot line to remind myself how Ash acts.

Now that I've tasted planet scanning, I come to really appreciate those "boring" mako trips. : P And you get some seriously beautiful landscapes there, at times. Come on, man. Do it for Ashley.Doug84 wrote...

No, not I don't. There is no way one company can sell that many copies of the same prefab module, heh. And scanning is relatively quick compared to seeking out all those materials. And given I play on PC, I can now just use the savegame editor for my scanning needs...

Although - is it me or did they make her hips bigger in this game? I'm sure they're more emphasised than they were in the last game.

Possibly. Though I'd have thought they'd just use the same character model from ME1 - especially given shes not got a major role in this game.

I guess they worked on everyones assets.
Though sheps dancing did get worse. No wonder why nobody would dance with him.
Love the little hug in your sig.

Here's hoping they fix the 'moving eyes' thing that sometimes happens with NPC's for the third game, then.
Ha! Shep's dancing really did get worse - and I never would have thought that possible. And you couldn't dance with your prospective LI (if you had one in ME2) either.
And thanks

Just did noveria ending with Ash, and Liara. After Benezia dieing, I chose to save the rachni.
Ash was very vocal in her protest of the idea. It wasn't a quiet , are you sure about this Shepard.
She had an opinion and made sure I knew. Even talking to her latter she said she disagreed by it was my call. I love that about Ash. She has strong feelings and will let you know about it.
If she feels she stepped over the line she apologizes for that but not about her opinions.
Not sure another character does that.
Love Ash.

it adds a level of depth to the relationship between Ashley and Shepard that no other romance (save Kaidan's) has. instead of things go swimmingly, like the ME2 romances might be forced to do come ME3, Ash and Shepard have this rough patch added to theirs, which makes it so much more realistic in my opinion.
hopefully Bioware, in their video game omniscience, lets us mend bridges and get back together with her even closer than we were before.
Have faith, brothers. The day will come....

Do you think she'd be open to a three-way relationship with one of the women in ME2?
... No that's stupid. I wonder if Miranda would be willing though.

I don't think they're bigger. They may have accentuated her booty a little, which I'm all for, but she looks lean and mean to me.

haha
If you try to choose both Liara and Ash in the confrontation scene in ME1, Ash is the one who gets disgusted and leaves. So, to answer your question, no, I dont think Ms. Williams would be open to such a proposition.
Liara might be though.
And as for Miranda.... more evidence is required.

Yeah, choosing that option in that scenario was worth it just to see Shepard's creepy pedo smile though. It didn't surprise me that Ash was the one to get fed up, though. Further reinforcing my perception that Liara really is willing to do anything to get into bed with Shepard.

doesn't mean you cant like sensitive stuff.

Was Ash really trying to end it on Horizon and was the email a way of saying, Hey, I loved you but lets just be friends?
I analyzed her wording again...It seems off somewhat.
