You know, as much as I liked that scene, after doing it for the first time I would always send Ash to the AA tower instead. I preferred the scene of Kaidan defending the bomb to his last breath, it felt more cinematic.

Plus when you send whoever you want to save up to the AA tower, Saren actually holds Shepard up over a really, really long fall instead of over a wimpy puddle.

I like this bit.    Especially since she probably didn't even really need to be carried.  Shep just panicked and reacted like good soldiers do.   In fact I can just hear her hanging there going "uh..I'm okay...no really.....well if you insist..."

Now you've all got me thinking about the "I...I almost..." thing.  Dammit, Bioware!  *adds to fanfic fuel*

The worst thing Bioware would do is bring a whole new cast of people again for ME3. Please do not invest me in the characters of ME1 & ME2 just so I have to do it all over again! I support new characters, just not a replacements to previous ones. I find it hard to believe when the Galaxy is at stake, these people are no where to be found.



Also would prefer a certain Operations Chief fighting by my side!

Ive always played out virmire the same way i couldnt bare not taking ash on the team or killing her off virmire is very linear in that sense for me.

I'm a big Kaidan fan (probably obvious from the sig!), but I heartily support Ashely too! I like Ashley. I *hate* Virmire for that reason. Hate it! Her and Kaidan had some fun dialog as well.

And, of course, it always comes up eventually; Kaidan and Ashely are both very much tied together in that if we see one, we'll see the other. I'd love to see both of them return in ME3 and see what happened to them both.

I really miss Ashley. She's so much more interesting than most of the squadmates in ME2. Even though I disagreed with her anti-alien stance, she was perfectly reasonable about it due to her family's background.

I intentionally got Jacob killed during the suicide mission by picking Miranda as the biotic and him as squadmate during that sequence. Just wanted to make sure theres free room in the Normandys armoury for Ashley (#1).

As for the "I almost" part, hmh. I think I've never noticed that, not in the way that I'd wander what she meant. I though that was just some randomness, her not knowing what to say due to the surprise and unexpectedness of the meeting. But since you bring it up...

She probably meant something like giving up, being completely broken and living a life of misery. We don't know. And I sure as hell don't want to find out. Why? As an old friend told me, "a woman has to keep her little secrets, has to have that air of mystery about her. Would you rather have me remain mysterious, or just be plain and simple?"

So, no. Don't tell me, Ash. Don't you ever. It's not that I don't want to know. I want to not know. I want to be dragged towards you, constantly wondering what it might be that you're not telling me, and never finding out. Don't lose your secrets, baby. Don't be plain.

Is a hug overload possible? Maybe for some I guess.
I am all for the random pagagon hug interupt.

Edit: Those who cant fit the hug in their sig, its understandable. We each have our priorities.
Mine happen to be cake, icecream , and Ashley.

Yeah it might be a setup for ME3 if she is a squad mate so there is something more to speak about, she might have almost moved on, or commited suicide ect. Probably nothing though.

Suicide? She's definitely mature enough to handle something like this. The hug was nice though

There's no suicide for Ash. She would never consider it no matter how in the depths of despair she was. She's not that selfish.
