I personally feel Meer's preformance in ME1 is pretty meh, but when you get to ME2 he more than makes up for it.

A plot enforced dick move though, I went to the citadel immediately in my first playthrough in order to find her.

I got the impression that her helping to stop saren had already done that.

It seemed that way if she was left at Virmire but it didn't seem that way if she lived but thats just what I got from it.

Plus, I, for one, never thought his VO is bad or "meh". I think its good in both games.

I like his voice a lot.  I've just never been very good at playing males.

Alas. I did this too.  I think as far as forgiveness and being on friendly terms again it won't be much of a problem for Ash and Shepard.  The romance is a whole other bag.  That's over two years of not being together and Ash living life as normal people do.  There's a lot of catching up to do and really getting to know each other again in a way.  There is no quick fix.  Even if they meet again and in an emotional moment fall into each others' arms and kiss and make love and all that it doesn't erase the issues that they'll no doubt have to deal with in ME3.  I would really like to see Shepard and Ashley rebuild their friendship, trust and romance during the course of ME3.  It will be such a copout for ME3 to start and have them both go "okay I love you again hooray everything is awesome."

I love Hale. And I thought she was great in ME1.  Then I thought she was way too breathy or something in ME2.

Meer, I love.  But it's because I appreciate his really dry delivery.  There were moments in ME1 where he could be wooden, but I thought he was pretty great in ME2.  I adore his voice.  I think it's really sexy.
