I was looking for a thread like this!

I have a confession to make.

I am obsessed with Ash.  I didn't know a game character could have such an impact on me.  Miranda absolutely pales in comparison.   None of the love interests in ME2 can compare.  I'm so pathetic that I can't bring myself to engage in a romance in the sequel, LOL.  It would feel like I'm really cheating on Ashley.

I was so freakin' scared that they were going to kill her off on Horizon or something.  When I saw her come out at the end of the mission, I literally  almost cried.  But then it really pissed me off that I didn't get the dialogue choices I wanted with her (such as, 'Oh God, Ash!  I thought they got you!!  Let's get married before one of us really dies!!').  At least we embraced for a moment. 

I haven't finished the game yet, but I'm hoping I can talk to her more...

Is it sad that I go to my quarters on the Normandy just so i can see her picture on my desk?

For this character, Bioware will always be my favorite games developer.  They really hit a soft spot in me with Ash.  Just like they did with Jaheira in Baldur's Gate 2.  That is a whole different story, however...

yeah we've all pretty much been bemoaning the awful dialogue choices offered on horizon. I myself have probably filled several pages in this thread talking about it. in the end, however, im ok with it because I think it adds a level of depth to the Shepard/Ashley (or Kaidan) relationship that no others have, which makes it even more special. they dont fall on their knees and fall in with you, Ash and Kaidan stay true to their beliefs and I wouldnt have it any other way.

the picture was nice, butI dont want to spoil anything for you, so I'll leave my other thoughts on that unsaid, though they are both positive and negative.

anyway, Ashley is easily my favorite video game character as well, so heres to hoping we get her back in a BIG way come ME3!

So yes I cheated on Ash on my first play-through (I am a completionist and wanted to see how romances were handled in ME2 I swear!)

I cant help but come back to this thread...its like what Ash said to Shepard on Horizon..."here you are pulling me back in" or some such...that's how I feel

Anyway I'm going to make a new run without doing a romance and save that for when ME3 comes out...

Here's hoping they really flesh out ME1 romances

I've tried to move on. I made an advance on Miranda, after we helped her sister, but she turned me down, said she had to think about it. Deep down, I'm glad she did. I have no real interest in her; I just wanted so badly to make myself forget.. at least for one night. Oh, who am I kidding? Even if Miranda gave in, I'd just be thinking of Ash the whole time.



Flirting with Kelly Chambers doesn't make me feel better, either. I wonder who Ash has been with over the past 2 years...

Well..erm....I hate to tell you but Miranda is gonna bonk ya. Yeah, I went there too after Ashley was so mean *sniffs* Rebound and all. Need to finish my 'loyal to ash' playthrough before ME 3 comes out

That huge Tali thread is bugging me big time. I hate Tali. Her accent is extremely annoying. If I had a choice to kill her in the game I would do it in a heartbeat. And it's complete crap that she gets such a big role in ME2 while Ashley gets one scene and an email message. My God, they even let you romance her. It's not fair!

In an ideal world we'd have all the characters from ME & ME2 to pick from for ME3, but somehow I doubt that is going to be the case.

Therefore, I just want Ashley back, anything else is a bonus!

Ps. Love all the hugs in this thread, definately the warmest topic for our favourite NPC.

True, true. But if you wanna hate, their are Tali hate threads to go too, heh. Ok, admittly, they don't seem to have taken off, but still. Also, if anyone wants to try and troll this thread, sure! It all counts towards post count and we'll be laughing when Ash returns proper to ME 3

Yes, one of my playthroughs is SO going to have that because, well, Shep was lonely, and Mrianda's suit leaves little to the imagination. That said, so does Jacobs
