I think ur mis reading it.
Even alot of ppl who still liked Ash after Horizon decided to go to Miri, the average ME fan is not going to have any 2nd thought about getting a new LI and Miri is definetly suppose to be the new Ash.

I myself am not big on the whole "loyalty to 1 LI" thing with Ash being the only one i will bother doing a loyal playthrough for.
BW didn't do much in the way of announcing that staying loyal was an option, it really should of been clarified considering when u meet the ME 1 li's in 2 u get the idea that the relationship is VERY over despite the feelings they might still have.
Most people I knew who played it  didnt even notice the pic on Sheps desk, BW definetly should of done a little better job of informing ppl of that option

THIS! Not all my Sheps would go after the same sort of person, you know? They did a horrible job in telling us that remaining faithful was even possible.

Don't worry, people will come back to the old characters after a while. It's just new character fever for some people. We'll all be the old guard by then!

I never thought of Miranda of even being similar to Ash.
