mainly because I think this shallow stuff belongs more in the ... (had to google) Miranda thread 
I dont support Ash out of love for boobs but of her charakter , although theres nothing wrong with those:innocent:

Lol looking at all these character centric threads I would say Bioware have their work cut out for them....They don't treat even one character with the tender care the fans demand and they are going to have thousands rioting at their doorstep. (Whoever writes for Tali especially should worry for their life )

I think people like Tali because of the mystery (what does she realy look like). As for Ash yeah we all have our favorites heck even Doctor Chakwas has a thread. We have played these games through multiple times for the most part and we have come to appreciate and bond with certain characters.

From the first game I liked Ashley and Wrex the most. Garrus never did anything for me character wise and was set up to be a bad guy from the start (First Contact War). Tali was cute and interesting and she would go on and on about the fleet and the admiralty board etc. Wrex even said if I want to talk, talk to the Quarian. Liara was just to naive for me. Of course if not for her you would never have found Ilos. Kaiden when I first talked to him I said hmph a guy who gets headaches using his powers. I got Firestarter stuck in my head with him for some reason (burning brain cells to do your thing or the premise went).

The second crew was ok but I could not bond with them like I could in the first one. I think the biggest reason for this was the elevator conversations as well as the occasional banter the squad would have while out and about. It was nice that they brought two of the original crew back but it was basically jump my bones or do not talk to me. I missed Tali's long dialogues in engineering. I missed Garrus and his conflict with his father about c-sec and spectres. You get the idea. Even though I did not particularly like him I still enjoyed the interaction.

I loved the cameo by Wrex because I could see him doing what he is doing. After our talks on the cargo deck I got to know the big guy and realized hey there is more to him than just muscle for hire. I was saddened though that more than likely he will also just be a cameo in ME3.

I do not follow the comics nor any of the published books so I can not fathom in any way the abrupt change in Liara. Liara was this lovable naive girl whose mother was helping Saren. She was an expert archeologist and would have been content in that field. How someone please help me here how in the world did she change so much? I have not read any of the fiction published on her so how am I to take this change in character?

Horizon almost ruined Ash for me but then I thought about it and her reaction (even though carbon copied for Kaiden) made sense.  The email nailed it for me with her. I stayed true to her now on two playthroughs (working a third atm). I just hope that our latina bombshell is done the justice she was given in the first installment. I do not want a Liara type character adjustment, I just want my Ash back.

I am anticipating Bioware taking 8 years to create ME3 with every possibility there can be, all the different characters who have survived, new characters to be introduced, creating a story ending that will live up to the epic ending we are all anticipating. 

My hope is that we do not have squad mates forced on us in ME3.  I hope Bioware allows us to truly create our own team.  Make it possible to recruit any surviving characters from ME1 and ME2...but make it possible that they could turn you down depending on choices you made in the first 2. 

Take Ash for example.  Give us the chance to find her in ME3 and recruit her...if you stayed loyal to her and destroyed the Collector base and basically told TIM to go screw himself then she joins you.  The connection between you is still there but you have to work to rebuild the relationship...2 years is a long time after all.  BUT, if you cooperated with Cerberus and TIM, then she walks and refuses to join.

Also, let us do our own research on possible new squad members and decide who to go recruit.  The possibilites would be nearly endless and it would give every player a chance to personalize their squad.  This is beneficial for two reason:
1)  Would allow us to build our squad to fit our personal play style.
2)  Would create a closer connection to our squad members, causing us to care a great deal about each and every one of them.

agreed.

this is my number one desire for ME3: let us choose our own squad. Say we're given a selection of twelve potential squadmates, but can only choose eight or so. that would be incredibly awesome, and would make each persons game different than the next.

alas, I doubt it will happen, but it is a possibility. So long as Ash returns I'll be satisfied.
