well..i would ask u if u like Ashley too..but well u are on her support thread...unless u do like me and just go on every thread and post if u find something interesting to talk about...
  i would post on the tali thread but i'm afraid i'll get not some friendly comments for my views..

guess u didn't like Ashley or Liara...though i doubt u knew Tali would be a LI......i actually started the romance with Ashley without even knowing there was a romance option in ME...forgot to read much about the game at that time...

well my team in ME1 was always tali and Ashley...but i must admit..i took tali only for the ability to open doors...in ME2 i rarely used tali and Ashley is not in it..my usually default formation for ME2 is Jacob and Miranda

Well to be fair, the room she was in on Haestrom was littered with dead Geth. She knows how to handle
herself. Unfortunetly this is the ME universe where if you aren't on Shepard's team you're pretty much made of suck.

It depends on your perspective, I wouldn't call any of the women in ME damsels in distress, well maybe Liara.  Even Ash you have to 'rescue' in the first 5mins of ME1 but I don't think being faced with insurmountable odds makes you a 'damsel in distress' and Tali only needs recusing from a horde of Geth that even a crack team of marines can't hold out against, I mean anyone but Shepard would have been squished (because Shep is a god don't cha know ).

Even at the trial Tali is prepared to be banished rather than give up her principles, Shep doesn't have to rescue her, he chooses to help.

yea..i do not understand the Jacob bashing..i find him a very good companion and i enjoy taking him on missions and kill some baddies...i also choosed him to lead one of the fire squads during the suicide missions...

btw..i always choose Tali for the last boss fight..only because i am afraid she will die if i don't..her defense rate is not that big..wonder how Ashley would fare on the suicide mission..she did get her squad killed on Eden Prime..though that was not her fault by any means

Most of the Jacob bashing is because of his dreadful romance, believe me it is awful, I think 99.9% of women, including me hate it.  It's like a bad porn film, well not that there are any good ones, but I'm talking really really bad!

Honestly from a class perspective, she's a soldier, she's trained to hold out against stuff like that, I think as long as it wasn't a leadership role (purely because she's not trained up in that way) she be pretty hard to kill, a la Miranda.

well though i like Miranda..i would like to have a squad of Ashley and Jacob..just to see two military people around...all the saluting will make u dizzy

  Ok..so women hate Jacob because of his poor lines...why do men hate him too...he is loyal..and seems like a nice fellow to talk to..if u are male..he is no Wrex though

She's not that bad, I tend not to take her because there's no way my Shep would trust her so I tend to take Garrus and/or Tali and someone with no alligeance to Cerberus.  In ME1 I always took Kaidan and Ashley, then Wrex after Virmire when I have to make the awful decision

But I just didn't feel that same connection this time so my characters are pretty interchangable tbh, I don't really hate anyone, Miranda and Jacob do make it on to the team occasionally but there's no one that alway has to be there *shrug*
