I've done this rant on the Kai Kai thread but I figure I'd share it here as well. The ME2 romances, despite all their extra garb, were in my mind by far trashier. The conversations leading up to them were laced with cheap, porn dialogue innuendo, and if you decided you didn't want to romance the character, they just clammed up. "Sorry, Shep..No person here. Don't want to sleep with me? Don't want to talk to you." Jacob shows so little regard for ShEpard that it's deplorable.

Jacob's, Miranda's, and Garrus' romances I agree were poorly executed. On Jack's and Thane's I disagree with you though. I have no comment on Tali lest I be burnt at the stake for heresy.

They all move too quickly towards sex with the exception of jack's and thane's. As soon as you tell tali you're interested in her, she starts researching ways to let you into her pants without her dying.

I actually liked Tali's.  It was one of the few I liked from ME2.  Made sense.  You'd known her for awhile.  Significantly helped her and her people, TWICE.  And she was so in love with you she was willing to die.  Unlike Jacob, whose like, SWEET,FLING WITH THE CO!  Bow chica bow wow.  Jack I can't say from experience.  I try to avoid her lest she kill me before I get to the suicide mission.  Thane's was nice, but the whole dead wife thing made it seem like a lifetime movie.
