To me it seemed like he came to terms with the end of the relationship, and was big enough to acknowledge that it was probably mostly his fault. Seems a stretch to go from that line to thinking he thinks less of you than Miranda. Maybe shep is out of his league too, but what is he gonna do? Become a monk?
But the Jacob romance was sleaze, no question.
