Tali, Ashley and Garrus are my three favorite characters in the Mass Effect universe. (Don't ask me to choose between them. I'm still hoping there's an option in ME3 for a foursome. My Shepard wouldn't be capable of resisting.)



I've always felt like Ashley's gotten a bit of an undeserved bad rap, in part because she bucks the trend of the submissive princess who requires your constant attention. Instead, as a Soldier she's the single most badass tank in your ME1 squad. I found that hysterical -- a human female as your most physically powerful character! She had more HP than my Krogan!



Ashley's LI scenes in ME1 blew Liara's out of the water. I loved her depth, and her voice acting, which reminded me more than a little Mila Kunis. (Really, the whole package reminds me of Mila...I wonder if Bioware was a bit inspired there.) Subjectively I hated what happened in ME2, but I understood the value of a temporary crisis to the overarching story. I have two different versions of my Shepard on two different saves, and hopefully I can import them both to ME3: one's staying loyal to Ashley and the other's pursuing Tali.

Her taste in poetry, at the very least, is quite inspired.

Welcome and Ash would give you a big hug for the support (above). Who couldnt resist Ash and Tali at the same time lol. Yeah i dont understand the hate she gets you would think everyone would love the fact she is so human and real. The poetry brings a smile to my face every time.

Actually, I can very easily see her settling down with someone if she cared that deeply for them.

As for her taking Shepard's name...I can understand the whole 'Williams family' thing, but Ashley seems like too much of a traditionalist to me. They could always compromise and name their child William Shepard (if they had a son, that is). Naming a son after Ashley's father and grandfather could also be a likely possibility.

Gah, listen to me. Normally I detest talking about characters getting married and having children, it just seems so cheesy. Ash seems to have that kind of effect on me, I guess.
