Shepard:

according to the old vids we have everything they want.
Ashley: "If
you expect to get me in a tin foil mini skirt and thigh-high boots, I'm
gonna need dinner first... Uh... sir... "
Kaidan: "That'll be enough,
Chief."
Shepard: "At ease luitenant, cant see her in a skirt
anyway."
Ashley: "Damn straight, you cant!"
Ha, Ash is like the only LI that will give any **** Shepard gives her straight back to him.

You can only get it on your first trip to the citadel, with both kaidan and Ash in your party. It's pretty easy to miss. I think it's the same place you find Emily Wong.
Yeah I missed it on my first two playthroughs, it's really easy to miss.
You are right, it's beside Emily Wong on the lower floor area over at the edge, I think you need to do it before anyone else joins your squad, although I'm not sure.

I guess I innterpreted it differently. I thought Ash was a litle flustered by Shep's remark for once.

yeah, after watching that youtube video, you're right. Although when you're talking to her on the ship and stuff, I think my point still stands.

True. Not just a Shepard fangirl, but an equal partner. (hopefully in me3)
This is one of the things I like about Ash (an some ways, Miranda too). She is not a fangirl. She doesn't fawn all over Shep. In a lot of ways, she is more real then some of the other characters in the game.
It's my opinion that in ME1, Bioware was almost force feeding you a relationship with Liara by the way she talked to Shep and "fell" for him. In ME2, I feel they did the same thing with Tali. It was almost like they were pushing you to have your Shep romance her.
Ashley took work. They gave you the impression that she was a bigot, something you had to "peel away the layers" from. She was sassy, so you had to get over yourself while playing if you wanted to romance her. It wasn't "easy". On the other hand Liara was pretty easy....not much to get over. The character had a nice personality, was young and innocent, was fascintated with Shep from the beginning.
As far that thread goes, it's typical knee-jerk reactions to superficial character dialogue without exploring it. I did the same thing 2 years ago when I first played ME1. After an open-minded play through my entire opinion of Ashley changed. It all has to do with how you like to play the game is all.
