Well, to add my 2 cents to the conversation, imagine if humans did it. We made an AI and then they begin to show signs of resistance to us. I don't know about you, but I would be pretty terrified and would deactivate them immediately. Especially after being driven from our homeworld if we failed I would be incredibly pissed.

If we did what the quarians did we would deserve our genocide.

Oh nothing specific but if came down to curing AIDS I would rather test a vaccine on a murderer than infect any animal with the virus just to see if the cure worked. I mean if the guy who is going to be in jail for the rest of his life dies from the vaccine where’s the loss.
So for me save a human I hate (Jacob) or Legion...... well its gona Legion

They tried to stop them before they obtained sentience. The whole point was to stop it from happening.

They failed then but they continued when they had a chance to stop it.

Yes, all sentient beings have rights.

Geth arent even sentient until a bunch are networked together.

So if I killed one single geth is that murder? Its not self aware.

And we aren't sentient until we are a couple years old. A dog is as intelligent as a two year old.
