The big problem I see with that is the collector's are reworked prothean's and they have lost all individual motivation to be other than what they are ie collector drones for the reapers. My evidence would be when Harbringer released the collector general from control. He was completely and utterly lost.

Even when I was trying to express my disappointment/rage (I was LOOKING FORWARD to meeting Ashley in the ME2 playthough --- my only "contact" was knowing she was an ME1 friend/interest, and she was in the opening scene of Normandy going down)...  Anyway - so I "necro'd" some threads (I am not a frequenter of forums, and so  blindly posted where it seemed it might make sense without regard for the date on the last post-- hell, I didn't even know where to look to tell when the posts were made... I do now thanks - no need to point it out, and it is obvious yes...

 Anyway - in my initial rants -- I ended with... "She does have a damn fine butt though"  And I paraphrase here.  Yep - way nicer actually than the caboose that Miranda is dragging around, imho.


  Even though Epoch_  implies that, after looking closely at character histories, etc... and Cerbrus' past, that Ashley's dialogue kind of made sense... well- I don't agree - simply because the "counter" reasoning, which was offerred to her through Shephard's (and Garrus' if he is on Horizon) dialogue, is that "What is happening RIGHT NOW " -- (the attack and abductions), and what YOU Ashley, yourself were just SAVED from - is what matters.  Yes - it's odd how things change.  But, things change.  The original Ashley character from ME1, I _have_ to believe, would have seen through her historical/emotional responses that "YES - I saw it with my own eyes.  What I said about Cerbrus being with Collectors is pretty out-there, etc.... - not to mention I love and trust Shephard".... or whatever....  Bioware just made her say "FU" and walk away.  That did suck.  So, perhaps she did not suck - but the script really made a bad impression on a player new to Mass Effect (2).   Not going out of my way to look for that character in subsequent outings.  I think it is understandable.  Oh well -- Like I said - I don't know the lingo and etiquette what-have-you around gamer's forums.  I post on Engineering forums fairly often - and don't  typically see conversations like I did on this thread - so, pardon me for seeing it differently.  Hey -cool game though, eh?    

Seems that while I read and typed, etc.. that epoch got a little snippy on me.  Well, anyway - if you have to ask why one thinks that Bioware screwed up with Ashley's character presentation in ME2, then there's no need for me to try to reason it out with ya.  Yeah.  You go (girl?)...  anyway - thanks for the invite and if the attacks come after this I won't ever see 'em, so - in all, mostly pretty civil.  Still think the thread evolved in to a meeting place, but it is a fun one after all, eh?  Cheers and all that.  See ya in ME3 maybe.   (not if I see yo...)

Aye, I did do the conversations with mordin and realise they're about a half a step up from husks.

Cerberus is a terrorist organization, something that was explained in ME1 so it's understandable you don't know that. Also, she just saw her two-year dead lover after seeing several hundred or thousand people whisked off.I think she reacted fairly normally in those rather extraordinary circumstances.

The biggest complaint I have over that whole scenario is that there are so few options to use when responding to her and her accusations. Yes her reaction imo was spot on but Shep's was not.
