.... How dare these characters not idolize shepard.
You realize that in the scene we are discussing, Ashley calls Shepard a Hero, and then says "You are looking at a GOD" to the colonist guy. So... yeah- I guess it seems that Ashley's a fairly inconsistent character. Number one reason - she was supposedly one of the CLOSEST to Shepard (assuming that, friend or lover, she loved him more than most anyone else) -- so why would she throw out all her experience which tells her he CAN be trusted (am I wrong? Is that not what her ME1 experience would have been?), and instead just decide HE must be either a traitor or just a fool or delusional? You really buy that, or is it cuz you have been selling it for two months?

Put another way - perhaps you cannot accept that the TRUE hero (Ashley, in your world maybe?) would be wrond about anything - or rather be
inappropriate in her response to the situation? I see that you'd prefer a little pushback or anti hero-worship to the trusting puppydog Tali. OK. The engineers didn't sound like they were forced out from Alliance. Sounded like they took OFFENSE at Shepard being sullied after his death (i.e. his
rep) and decided that the Alliance was not worthy of their allegiance.
Garrus shouldn't have a problem with cerberus because he thinks just like they do. The only reason Tali follows you is because she has some serious hero worship of shepard going on. Someone else explained why some of the crew "quite" (they didn't really, the alliance sorta forced them out).
have you played ME1?
I haven't that was part of my point - I am not swayed by previous character
fondness or loyalty. I see Ash for just what she presented in the Horizon scene. Despite rather insufficient support for Shepard, i.e. Dialogue choice, she did not rely upon her (years? months?) previous experience with Shepard, which I assume were GOOD or she would not have, just moments before, referred to him as a HERO
and as a
GOD. (Sounds a little like worship, epoch_, I have to say)..... If he was the Hero and "God" like man she stated, why would she believe such terrible things about him so readily --- despite his (trying) stating the contrary and his actions right there, having SAVED her (I repeat) from a certain death (near certain?) at the hands of the Collectors? Nope --- forget all the overwhelming evidence right in front of my face.... he says Cerbrus brought him back - so nothng else, no matter how obvious, matters... So, you say in the next post I think that SHE tries to convince the Alliance of Reaper threat and of Shepard being good despite Cerbrus affiliation --- well - that means she "came to her senses"? No? If so -- then that means that her initial response was
emotional and not rational -- as Shep and others assert... so, if she changed her mind after a little time passed -- then it means it needed changing?
OK - we don't agree. You're clearly a kid (college anyway) - so, respect your elders and adopt my opinion, even if it is just going back to one you held previously. Just accept it.
(That was sarcasm on a large scale) --- thanks for the invite, epoch_
