We need a topic of discussion <_<

How paragon/Renegade are your Shephards?, might be interesting to see if the choices we make in game reflect a common ground with regards to Ash character appreciation.

My Shephard is about 50/50, aims to do the right thing, but will never compromise the mission. If that means getting his hands dirty and doing what could be considered wrong so be it.

However I won't just be an ars*hole for the sake of it, and if I can help someone, I will.

My Shepards are usually 80% Paragon. Doing the right thing, protecting the weak and all that. But from time to time the situations require decisive action. For example some of the renegade interrupts in ME2, where you can kill enemies during cutscenes. Why not if you know that they are most likely going to shoot at you or another person you care about? Or forcing information out of someone to save another persons life is another thing that my Shep would do.

I think Ash is about the same.

@aprilia, I just got up and have only read this page but I notice you mention trust, I just want you to look at it another way. You spend 2 yrs getting over the love of your life, then BAM, he shows up and tells you he wasn't actually dead. Now regardless of whether or not I trusted him implicitly or not that would surely shake your confidence in him, it would mine and it's not like D&D, resurrection isn't exactly common place. There were many well-made points, but I felt like there was a lack of respect for (well, I had a word or two on the subject already - so I assume you've an idea of some of my points - like The LOML should have my back _at least_ as much as, say, Anderson - who _does_ seem to have Shep's back.  That said --- you put it in a very understandable and, well, understanding light.  What you say makes sense.  It's hard to feel other than really disappointed at that outcome (Horiz.), and seriously - the whole "o.k. - that's what ya think of me?  Who needs ya?" -- which I am guessing is somewhat what the character is intended to feel (had enough of this planet)...  yet, yeah - can't argue with your portrayal of events... though he said he was in a coma ---  it was not emphasized... just, one of those conversations where you want to say "Don't go -- wait!   Listen to me!  "  Heh... guess maybe BW were more aware than I thought.  Thanks.

Lol, his whole view of ash has drastically changed from where it was last night.
I think, I don't really like the way he types.

I have 4 Shepard's ( I bet you can guess how that works Out) all are imports from ME1 on at lease one play through. First (also my Favorite) Male Infiltrator Paragon, second is a Male Soldier Renegade, Third is a Female Adept Paragon, and finally a Female Vanguard Renegade.



On Paragon play through I normally help everyone I can and do every quest (damn planets) and have a LI(depends on the character normally a 50/50 chance on Ash and Kaiden / Liara.) Although Ash and Kaiden get more like a 75/25 over Liara most of the time.



Renegade is just being a bastard that pisses everyone off, Normally I dont have a LI do to pissing them off, killed or other reasons. What can I say Shepard's a badass and does not need a LI.

haha i really like this picture,it kinda looks like there on a date and ashley see's something she really likes and is like "OOO shepard lets go see the new model of assault rifle with the new heat sink system"and pulls him by the arm.

Ash and Kaidan are different. They should have had more individual dialogue. Maybe the same theme to them but very different feelings and dialogue. I also would have liked a better reason to work with cerberus. My shep wouldn't work with them. I feel Shep should have been able to tell Anderson he / she was ready to go back to the alliance. Then Anderson having to tell shep that alliance command didn't want shep back. The way it is Shep doesn't really try to go back to the alliance. I almost feel like my shep abandoned them instead of the other way around.
So even from this angle, I can see why Ash and Kaidan feel like Shep might have turned his / her back on them.

I think that, through Joker and some others, and Anderson as well -- we're told that the Alliance basically dragged Shep's "good name" through the mud during those two years -- I recall that the Alliance said Shepard was "delusional" about the Reaper threat, etc...    Sorry - I cannot see it as Shepard abandoning the Alliance.  When he went to talk with Anderson (and the Council), they would not grant him an audience.  You really think _he_ abandoned them?   He didn't exactly have "his own ride" when he woke up in the Lazarus facility, that he could say "seeya, I'm outta here" and fly away.  Nah -- The Alliance stepped all over a (supposedly) dead hero's good name.  Anderson was furious with them, and...  some left because of it (his engineers on Normandy 2)... no - they weren't forced to leave - don't buy that either, they left because the Alliance was not doing anything about the threat that Shepard warned them all about.  Even Anderson questions his decision to stay and become Admiral -- he laments that he has no control or power, that he may have made a bad choice in staying even - but he'll keep drumming nonetheless (basically, carrying Shepard's banner in my opinion).  Sorry -- I guess I get conversational and thus, wordy.  If spoken, this is not really the diatribe it appears (just over a minute I think    just an opinion -- though Shep's dialogue choices are infuriating at times for their lack of rationale, and premise support (meaning, he is forced to join Cerbrus in a way ---  no way to play the game without going along).  Though he does assert, more than once, that it's Cerbrus that are allied with HIM, and not the other way around.  The way I play it anyway   Oh - and Shep _does_ try to find out about Ashley...  too bad he couldn't get Anderson to IM her, or at least pass her a note .. heh...   :-)

I didnt say Shepard betraied Ashley, i just ment he wasted all his money their. So thats how Shepard holds his Alcohol well in ME2.

My last reply was for a pretty nice person who was far more well-spoken than you.  My "concession" was to her well-supported viewpoint, it was not an agreement that the Ash' dialogue choices were reasonable, really...  it was agreement that she was really overwhelmed and thus not in her right mind.

 I was trying to be respectful and civil.  Clearly you aren't now, here in your house where I was invited to visit.  Have to get personal after all, eh?  I must have been more persuasive than you thought I 'd be (though I know you are about to FLAME me now) ....   this forum is clearly not the place for me to hang of course.   I stand by every point I made, from the first.  I got Ash disciples to agree that Ash was out-of-line on Horizon.    So, how did I drastically change my view?    Hell, you told me several times that you felt EXACTLY as I do...

and nah, I still don't care if she's in ME3 -- I hope that BW just keep bringing new chars on board, despite the over-the-top devotees to expired characters.  Bring on new love interests and old friends, and Ash, Miranda, Tali -- leave 'em in the past I say 

And I think you don't like the way I type because it is too much work  to read more than a sentence or two, clearly.  Proceed with the flaming.  I will not concede - but I will get out of your little corner of BW... thanks for the invite, like I said before.  You had to insult my "typing" (you mean my writing style perhaps?  Or do I type too loudly for you?  ;-)
