I'm throwing because I think you are insulting me. I do not need to read something aloud in order to "hear" it in a conversant context (oops. sorry for the extra syllables). Your idea of good style is your own, I imagine. It reads like Shatner speaks. Short. Little. Sentences. I do not deride you for it. I write, imho, in a flowing (again, imho), brain-dump style. I take for granted that not everyone can just process the text visually while "hearing" it as conversation, in their heads. I have not received much teasing or criticism for my typing "style" before this thread today. Perhaps I am being overly sensitive, but I believe that there are many who are not impeded by a couple of parands, dashes and underscores, and instead just "process the text" as written. These are not visual stumbling blocks for everyone. Just for some. This is my opinion. I would rather my posts (and yours, frankly) read as spoken conversation rather than stilted, stuttering bits of a conversation. Yeah - probably being too sensitive. I said, about ten times at least, that I had not played ME1. I also said that I am not judging the character, but rather the writing. The script. I am sure that the fictional literary creation known as Ashley is really a wonderful person. Really. Does this mean I have abandoned my opinions and principles? Man, I hope not. Perhaps I should just go back to hating her... lol OK - sorry for bothering you good folk. Ciao.
Sweetheart, calm down. I don't think anyone minds your stream of conciousness, nor even a liberal use of punctuation that would make T. S. Elliot's head spin. It's the fact that you've now hijacked the thread to talk about yourself and your feelings regarding...well..yourself. I'm glad you're comfortable with yourself and your styling of writing. Now, please return to the topic of Mass Effect.

Well then I agree. Bioware could have written it differently. But they didn't, so I'm not going to hold that against ash. Their explanation of things, while not what I would have liked, more than gets the job done.
And as for you, feel free to believe whatever you like. Hate her, love her, feel completely indifferent towards her, whatever. BioWare has made a lot of different characters for a reason.

We MUST play. I'm honestly not that good either. I can get on in about an hour if you want to play. Although, I'm currently on the EU version of the game even though I live in the US.
I have... connections.

Apologies - you're right. Guess I did hijack. But it was two way, at least to me. This started with the following from epoch_. He refers to a conciliatory post from me to bacc4, as she had really conveyed a different view of the ash-shep horizon exchange. epoch_ talks about "him" (me), and how I "caved" more or less. I think it was exclusionary. Is that a word? Like his view, don't like the way he types. Like I'm not reading it too. Is this civil? It's like someone dis'ing you behind your back but right in front of your face - clearly the outsider. Not welcoming. Perhaps If her were talking about you and your opinions and writing style in the same manner it would be different. I think the 3rd person reference is the most off-putting. But you are right - I'm not contributing now, and probably never was, to this thread. Thanks.
epoch_ writes:
Lol, his whole view of ash has drastically changed from where it was last night.
I think, I don't really like the way he types.

Hey, free pizza tastes even better than normal pizza. Can't be too down. Is it bad that forever I wasn't looking to closely at your avatar, and then one day looked up and went, "Oh, it's Tali." She had a Darth Vader mouth piece thing going on there so I always assumed you were a big starwars fan!runescapeguy9 wrote...

So this leaves me with two questions.
1) Why no to Star Wars.
2) How'd you get the custom, almost looks hand drawn Tali?

Aren't you the person who, last night said, and pardon the quotes, "I felt EXACTLY the same as you do, about 2 months ago".
That was some understanding at least. It wasn't argumentative or belittling or anything. It opened the door for me to listen more to other viewpoints on that exchange (Mom - I am referring to the Horizon mission in ME2, so don't scold me - I am trying to be ME2 centric, topically. Oops, sorry for that dash back there. Tough habit to break - the implied pause that proper grammar doesn't quite allow for. It can (or do I mean _can_?) be a good device for bringing minds together through the text. I thought so. Yeah, the '-', it means "pause", for impact or whatever. Oops... now I stream conciously. Man, I suck at this. Thanks for opening my eyes. Have. to. change. my ways.

I was always a TNG fan myself. I loved Data growing up. I'd have to say 7 of 9 was my first female role model, though. Explains my love of computers and lack of social skills.runescapeguy9 wrote...
