Bioware has said they will have large roles in ME3. That not including as squad mates does not compute.

At E3 they should just show Tali and Garrus in the squad, then everyone will know all LI can be recruitable.

I think everyone knows Tali and Garrus are coming back. It's us that have the possibility of being screwed over.

I would still be skeptical right up until they flat out announce all the squad members.

They aren't going to bring back some love interests, and not others.

Tali and Garrus come back, then Miranda, Thane, Jack and Jacob come back. If those are squadmates then Ash/Kaidan and Liara will be able to be recruitable. You can't have a couple of returning LI in your squad and give the others cameos. Thats not fair and will make alot of fans pissed.

They won't giving them the cameos in ME2 is understandable if they have big plans for her. Now if they put her as a cameo again and give all the ME2 characters cameos and we have to get new badass's then I will be very disapointed and march down to Biowares HQ. I will just take a train there.

I'm hardly optimistic about it. I don't think any of the old squads will return. 

But one thing is for sure, they aren't just going to bring back some LIs and not others.

Hell, I would be unhappy if BioWare cut Liara/Kaidan/Ashley out of ME3 and I'm a pretty content fan of the ME2 romances. I'm pretty convinced, however, that BioWare's not going to do this - not unless people push them to put the game out really quickly, in which case they're going to have to cut corners.



Personally, I'm hoping that in ME3 you get the option to recruit whoever's survived both ME1 and ME2 into your crew - up to a limit (of about a dozen or so I'd imagine, given the Normandy's size). We don't really need new characters in the third game and I see no reason to treat the ME1 crew with any less reverence than the ME2 crew.
