Frak those other games, I'd have just loved to do ME2 like I did ME1.
This:
Rather than this:
Light armor is good and understandable. I'd like some for the males, as well.
Hell, I just want more variety in armor.
It's boring having only armor thats either kind of heavy or can survive a nuclear holocaust heavy.
However, that isn't what the OP wants. He/she/it wants Samara's outfit.
And on that topic, why is the one Asari who has given up intimate relationships the one that dresses most like a ****?

There is SOME progress, even though you have to use texmod.

Though a nice dress casual outfit would be nice. Something to make her look cute when walking around the ship at least. (Its not like she's in the military anymore).

Frankly, I'm pretty sick of female game characters being dressed up like ****s simply for the benefit of teenage boys.
I like the fact that fem shep dresses like a soldier.
It has nothing to do with teenage boys, it is the general male mindset. Majority of players is still male and that wont change for a long time, if ever.
Why would a straight guy play a female character if she wouldnt be good looking? And if she is good looking, hiding it is somewhat pointless. And sorry, roleplaying is not an argument. Why?

Because this is how it ends
Now seriously, OP presented a picture of malkavian female from VtM Bloodlines. Malkavians in itself are totally awesome thanks to their ingame dialogue, but the female armors are the thing that actually make you pick female over male in that game anyday.
To make a cool looking male armor, you just have to put some lights onto it and make it massive. To make a cool looking female armor, you actually have to try

No. If my female is a soldier in the military she should look like a soldier. I don't want her looking like some barbie doll. >_> Being attractive is one thing, being fetish fuel and wearing skimpy armor is another.

Also I can't deny that I would prefer some smaller shoulder pads for my female char. The armor in ME1 was better suited for women.

The "armour" that Samara, Miranda and Jack wear peeved me a little because no-one smart would intentionally walk into a firefight with that little protection - I'd be all for Squaddie armour and casual clothing to have both. Anyway, I don't think FemShep needs something like Miranda's arse/boobtastic outfit for her to be sexy. If we had some good looking casual clothes, it would be nice.
But yes, the armour could use a little reinventing, there's absolutely nothing wrong with lightly armoured catsuits that someone like Black Widow or the Baroness from G.I Joe would wear. That is what I'd like to see FemShep wear - plus cleavage.

Asari Commando outfit. It would be rather fitting on an Adept.
Speaking of which, BW may have reduced 'need for skills' - with that, they also limited armor options (light/medium/heavy). Personally I was always a fan of the medium colossus and ursa armors, in fact it was one of the main reasons I preferred to play infiltrator or vanguard.
I don't completely agree with the OP. I don't need Lara Croft 2194, or Alexis. I *do* however like to see muchmuch less bulky armor. Tight-fitting clothes, maybe a little bit of skin like Miranda, more 'cloth' and 'leather' styles of armor for lack of an appropriate sci-fi material.

Also.. where's the hottub for after mission relaxation?
But I have another question.. would it be out of order to want the whole team to be female? or for story purposes should they all remain the same?
Garrus just isn't appealing, and Kaidan was repulsive. Legion Grunt and Wrex I have no problem with though.
Even Jacob Taylor could have been a black woman. There are too few.
Thane's character could easily be female and a so much less emo and stupid.
Kolyat: Mom.. wtf.. after all these years? and in such sexy armour? Shepherd can I PLEASE join your crew?
Shep: You still need to do time for your crimes, but sure we'll see what happens in our next adventure.

*sigh* Please, no. Every other game on the planet dresses their women up the way the OP is asking. I'm happy to have one game on earth with a female lead that doesn't have to flaunt her body to be awesome.
To be fair, this would compensate for the hideous mage robes you have to wear in DA:O. Does anyone who has played a female mage in there like them? Have you seen the mage helmets in there?!?! My mage looks like a conehead when she has one on (and her robes make her look like she's wearing a quilt). Oh, the indignity! Actually, I almost want Orlais to invade just to bring fashion to Ferelden.

Well, the Tevinter Mage's robe looks passable enough on women, and i don't touch those hats with a ten feet pole (actually i do since i downloaded the helmet hider mod).
As for ME2, you could excuse skimpy armors by making their shields ridiculously strong (for example shields + 50%, health -30%), but IMO the Aegis Vest is hot enough (with suitably shiny material)
I do hope BW releases some new armor parts as DLC in the future. Please?

Generally I agree on account of the casual outfits, as many people have said there should be more and the existing one's are all kinda dull, and it might have been nice to have something a bit more flashy and shiny and sexy in that regard.
Where the armour is concerned I've personally always been rather glad that that it looks refreshingly realistic and un-stripperific as compared to other SciFi games and also to other women within the series, such as Miranda.
It's nice to see something that looks like it could be an actual, honest-to-god normal military armour instead of something that makes you wonder how sensible it could be to get into firefights in gear that uncovers everything from the sternum upwards.
However, it's a question of taste, and a little variety/being able to choose never hurts any game...
