Okay, it was blatantly obvious from the entire plot begining to the plot end that the reapers suddenly became mega-obsessed with Shepard.

Even more amusingly, they build a humanoid-reaper in their cliched desire for aryian perfectionism...

Speculation time:

Mass Effect 3 is going to be the completion of Shepards story, so what better way to complete it than with a doppleganger who frames you for hundreds of crimes while you were busy killing reapers.

Evil Shepard will likley start the games intro based on the char design of your own Shepard only with a few reaper-esque obvious differences (maybe different skin tone, wires in the face, a mechanical eye somewhere, y'know, the usual evil robot twin stuff).

Shepard is obviously in big galatic sh-... trouble, because of evil twins said rampage of destruction and now has to fix everything just in time for the reapers to convinently arrive and start causing chaos.

Shepard however will have to build alliances with the crippled racial populations out of fear of humanity or respect for it.  Humans of course will be the drive focus, and at some point I predict we will see Illusive man backstab us for his own self-righteous gain.

Shepard thus is trapped between two fronts forced to kill everything that damn well moves and screws laws for the whole paragon/renegade's origional morals, hero, or bad ass.

Hero Shepard is busy trying to kiss alien rear while developing romances with even more intergalactic species.  Renegade Shepard is busy turning into a half-robot him/herself causing almost as much havok as the evil twin supposedly created to be just as bad as you oh wait.

Theres more, your evil twin is going to find and kill you, brutally remove your entrails, brain matter and then use you as a man puppet to fully compleate its I am Legion plotline.

Speaking of which, Legion and most of the others will likley make reoccuring appearences along with ME1 characters prior to that.  They will likely give you cakes for being their friend in a previous game.

What? I made the obvious points didnt I?

Anyway! Back to saving the universe.  Evil you, wait, no, even eviler than you, you... however that works, decides to go and meet you face to face, because if you want to take over someones body right, you have to do it yourself y'know.

Buuut that doesnt go according to plan, you save yourself someone bravely dies protecting you, y'know the whole shebang.  The next thing evil you is peeved and sends the reapers to go screw over your beloved homeworld just to set an example.

Naturally this is where paragon says "HOLY HELL I HAVE TO SAVE EARTH" and Renegade says "Screw that, Im peeved now."

Renegade decides to kick ass and do what he/she does best taking revenge on Evil Shepard for... well, being evil, which would be ironic but yes.
Paragorn decides to be the morally caring ****** who throws him/herself into the path of the reapers for humanities sake and the sake of everyone else.

Annnd galactic ho-down time.

Regardless of your revenge or justice morals, earth being destroyed/saved the galaxy now comes to the solar system for one finale of spectacular cluster-****dom.  Naturally however, reapers being the intergalactic bastards they are have one final trick up their sleeve.

Big planet killer plot cliche comes to play and you have a timelimit to stop the galaxy being turned into a milky slurpy.  Hoooowever, your good friends the alliance give you a renegade choice you just cannot refuse, well, you can, if you want to be hated by earth for the rest of your existance.

Turn the big gun on our side and we can take over the galaxy, or blow it to hell in which case, screw you and die.

Finale occurs, final choice is made, all consiquences lead to this moment so is Shepard going to let humanity rule the galaxy or care to deeply about his/her five star alien prostitutes.

Renegades naturally will say that they want to go on darth vaders next pilgrimmage and turn dominative world... or universal in this case conqueror.
Paragorn meanwhile says that love and peace and all that nonsense is too important, blows up the device and sacrifices his/herself for the sake of the universe, how touching -cough-.

Sooo with that said and done, am I wrong?
