Am I the only one who thinks fem Shep's voice sounds like a 40 year old who's spent most of her life smoking? It's really bad. Make the character sound very very old. Espically in comparison to Miranda, Jack and basically any other female. Hell Helena sounds more youthful then Fem Shep.

I'd like to see this changed in ME3, anyone agree?

From the first minutes of ME1 to the last minutes of ME2 Hale's voice was a perfect fit for my Shepard. Tough yet sensual, killing machine with a tender heart, she is a mature woman who knows what to do. And does it.

I know what a chain smoker sounds like, having been related to several throughout my family. They sound like that.

I don't know where the idea that all female voices need to sound butch-esque to play a strong leader role came from, but it's not the case. The female voice for shepered is lacking in pitch as well, it really is droning and boring. I could never see it as sensual. As I said, compare it to basically any other female voice in the game, and it's kinda off.

Edit: As for the Dead or Alive thing. Did I actually say it needed to sound like some bad translation companies idea of a female character? Nope. But it doesn't sound right given the characters face, even the standard default female face. It sounds very off in comparison to every other female character in the game.

No, but I'd rather it did sound SO mature. As it's extremely hard to picture that voice coming out of most of the head models you can make for the female character, without giving her grey hair. I simply don't think it  fits. As a male however, it's not sexy...anything but.
