Jade was a fantastic character in an equally fantastic game. Beyond Good and Evil did so many things right - including the voice acting. It's a good comparison to ME2 I think.

Thanks. I really enjoyed that game and her character. I was quite sad the game didn't do well commercially.

Was pretty disappointed Femshep didnt sound like a 8 year old girl getting groped in a subway train. Femshep sounds liek a 30 year old woman. WTF Bioware?????? Plus she isnt into hot lesbians? Yuck!!!

I can't see myself going back to playing as Maleshep now after hearing Jennifer Hale's VA. She sounds as though she was actually interested in the character and it wasn't just another job to her, whereas Meer sounds as though he phoned his lines in.

Seriously Meer has some work to do for the 3rd game. I mean come on Martin Sheen put so much more into TIM than Meer has done with Maleshep.

Not entirely sure why he was cast TBH. There are several VA's I can think of that can sound tough and actually act.

Hale kicked ass! I was actually very disappointed when I started up a maleshep after completing the game as femshep... Big difference in the VA quality there.

I think her voice sounds fine. A touch husky does not necessarily equate age, in my book. If one wants an example of a character with an older-sounding voice, listen to Samara.

That said, I find her voice to be soothing and lovely, but it conveys her age very well, too. Anyway.

FemShep's voice is sexy, in my book. Especially when she's speaking through one of her breather helmets.

I prefer Mark Meer (and I'm in the minority with this), but I also have to disagree with the OP.

Jennifer Hale added a slight change to femShep, feeling like the character is somewhat harder this time around. And she pulled it out very well. Of course, it's just my opinion.

Hale's performance is the best in the history of video games. She makes Commander Shepard feel so real. The game is such a more personal, immersive and emotional experience with her.

Female Shepard was a bit too aggressive at times in ME2 as a paragon but I put that down to the direction. Hale acted the lines perfectly.
