I could not take user screenshots by using the Print Screen button.  I decided to go to Options Controls and assign a different key to the Screen Capture feature.  That did it.   I can now take screenshots.  I hope this helps others having the same problem.

By the way, take a look at a really close up decapitation finishing move:

I've also changed mine to no avail and gave up on it a while back. I probably need to remap it again to something else and keep trying, although I usually get too involved in the game and tend to forget about taking shots anyway.

Pressing Alt Gr + PrtScr together works for me (PrtScr alone doesn't)

Apparently screenshots directly to the Screenshots/User folder only works if the aspect ratio in the game video options is the same as the physical screen (4:3 , 16:10 etc) If it isn't (as in my case), the aspect ratio correction can be disabled by changing the line DisableAspectRatioCorrection=0 to DisableAspectRatioCorrection=1 in the DragonAge.ini file - I tried this and it solves the screenshot problem, but not surprisingly circles now appeared as ovals, so I changed it back and decided to make do with pasting from the clipboard!
