okay but... ain't ratings for parents of young kids to judge what they should /should not play?blink33 wrote...
I personally think it is a bit strange to have sex scenes. These sex scenes are always being debated, some want more and some want less. I know Bioware just wants this game to feel more real, but geez, sex is not on everybody's minds. Also, to all of you that are kidding themselves and saying that this "M" rated game should allow them to have hardcore sex scenes, you're idiots, we all know that 12 year olds and such play these games and why do we want to poison, yes i used poison, their minds further.
if not then...why even place rating on the box??? or even use ratings????

I'm 37 and I have no problem with a nipple or two.. I live in a sexual society. Most people here aren't afraid of nudity.. Sex is human nature. Can't fight it. Just love it.Mak89 wrote...
America is ****ed up. Self-rightoues adults over 35 think it's their duty to police kids and young adults. They have a problem with everything. We are being sheltered by the media and that's why when we see boobs were like Omgzzzz Boobies!!! and the rest of the world is like whatever.

so why some say Bioware/EA shuld wash Mass Effect out of it completely? as this is supposed to be REALISTIC game? i don;t get it. and still stick with opinion: expand love thread a bit in reference to ME1
you don't like it ?u don't have to do romance part-simple
u don't want others to see it? don't buy the game and stop bothering yourself-also simple"P

Are we talking about them just in Bioware games or in general?

for some it may seem as i double-posted.
answer: no, that was not my intention
for some unknown reason to me, editing the post moves it to the bottom of the board....

(I still like a little bit of sexytimes at the end, but still, I'd rather the time and energy went into the relationship if there had to be a choice.)

[i myself thought that EA & BIOWARE would expand somewhat love scenes and all that's around it a little more in 2 than in ME 1 but it in my opinion ,sadly, ME 2 is going opposite direction, the're "shutting the door" so to say literally
the game has 18+ rating on the box anyway, so for me it would be good if they expanded love thread in ME3 to something like permanent relationship and dragged scenes a bit more futhurer. i not say a lot but a bit more [in comparison with scenes form ME1]
so to sum up: BIOWARE & EA as to love thread/scenes don't go current path[ME2] expand it a bit [from ref. point ME1]
it wont hurt!
Ditto!

I mean, seriously, she is just being objectified (not that I as a dude have a problem with that), while the sex scene in ME 1 is rather sensual. Sure, you get to see a naked alien butt and a sideboob.. but seriously, am I the only one who thinks context is more important than what is actually shown? It's a nice sensual love/sex scene, while as I said, the dance in ME 2 is rather objectifying of women. OK, I had no problem with that, but I think after the rather sensual scene of ME 1 it was a bit disappointing and I thought it was more explicit, even though she was dressed.
To draw a comparison: I think it's the same as if in an anti-war movie/game there is explicit violence and gore, nobody would think it to be a bad thing, since it's in the context. And then take a film that is not as explicit, but where the violence/gore is only in there for the sake of showing it... I hope that kinda made clear what I meant... I don't need nudity in my games, but I the romance in ME 2 (at least with Kelly - as I said, haven't tried any others yet) was rather disappointing in the end, especially after she is so cute when you first start firting with her... kinda felt like a big letdown in the end, after a great start!
At least my femshep should have been able to kiss her... <3

She's not really a romance option ya know, maybe in me3 i dunno, but u can score anyone and still have a personal stripper...not that it's exciting or anything.
I know, sucks, since she was the most interesting LI in the game imao. Well, in my book she and my femshep are having a romance and I hope they don't ignore her in ME3! <3

It's kinda funny that this topic keeps coming up over and over again. People who claim to be old enough and mature enough to handle sex and nudity in a game seem to believe that any lack of sex and nudity in the game is a sign of self-censorship. They generally don't believe that a game can be called "mature" without explicit sex and/or nudity.
Let me tell you, folks, that as a developer full of mature individuals, we are also free to not have explicit sex and/or nudity in our games, no matter what you, Fox News, the government, or Bunky the Wonder Clown has to say about it. We have never considered it a "problem," it is simply a choice we have made and we have every right to make that choice.
Is bunky the wonder clown glen beck?
Glenn Beck is my hero.
